This was my second mixed media piece a few months ago. I’m returning to my art space on Tuesday, and with Athens slowing down under the August heat, I feel drawn to experiment again. Silkscreen can wait until September anyway.. Maybe this month belongs to mixed media? I’ve missed this feeling 😌

Let me introduce my art.

My work is photographic digital collage and mixed media. I hold a BA in Photography and I began my collage journey during quarantine. Unable to photograph, I had an urgent need to create. That's when Adobe Photoshop became my tool, and collage became my medium.

I started creating for myself, developing my aesthetic, learning new techniques and showing my work wherever I could. A year later, I stopped because I started working as a travel agent for financial reasons. During that time, I explored so much of the world and traveled extensively. Still, travelling has always remained my favorite escape.

Two years ago, I decided to take the risk and dedicate myself fully to my art, to my need to create, to communicate and to speak louder through my work about trauma, women, acceptance, and finding strength through self-expression.

Now that I've realized my life couldn't be any different and that the Frida Why project is the only thing that truly frees my mind and soul, I've opened my own art space in the heart of Athens, Greece.

I know the risks, and I proudly stand by one simple belief: F@ck them. We only have one life, you know.

This is my newborn dream! I'll be here almost every day. This is where I'll keep creating, where you'll be able to meet me in person if you'd like and where you'll find my available artworks as fine art prints, posters, wearable art and art objects.

This is also where we'll meet for my self-expression workshops... and who knows what else the future will bring.

And for my friends abroad, my online shop is on its way. Please be patient, I'm doing everything on my own. 💜

First photos of my space in Athens, Greece. Today is my second day as an officially opened art space.

I still can’t manage to choose a schedule yet, but I am here after midday hours, working on details, and not only of course. There is a lot of empty space around me that will be filled in time.

Today, while I was trying to stick my “Frida Why” label behind my desk, three women walked in. I was sweating and struggling, but who cares? I’m here, and I’m starting to live it!

Come visit me and don’t mind me if you find me on a ladder, up to the roof, trying to fix something.. hehe

Let’s see what will happen in the next days at my fresh new art space.
