One long table. Food in waves. Strangers at the start of the evening, something closer by the end.
This is what Where Beirut Meets Athens was always meant to be.
To Fahd Fahd Alexandros Hassan Kassem — thank you for opening your family’s table to us. The food, the cuts nobody dares, the recipes from Baalbek that finally had a room full of people to feed. None of this exists without you.
To Alice, who held the kitchen beside him. To Evi and Lydia, who carried the night with such grace from plate to plate.
And to everyone who climbed those stairs and sat down with us, thank you for trusting an idea you couldn’t quite see yet. You made it real.

A week ago, we set our table in the middle of the street, in the heart of Athens. We did this along with Feyrouz family. They hosted us at their neighborhood. With respect and Feyrouz’s blessing, we gathered together and paid tribute to Antakya’s memory. A part of what the week of Feyrouz celebrations was all about.
