Give hope
31/12/2025
As the year comes to a close, Solace Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to awareness, early detection, and community-driven impact. Our work continues
one partnership,
one screening,
and one conversation at a time.
We wish a happy and prosperous New Year to our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and to every courageous woman fighting breast cancer. Together, we move forward with hope and purpose.

Community outreach remained a priority. Solace Foundation carried out breast cancer awareness and screening activities in collaboration with the Kanifing General hospital in February and with The Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital and Innovarx Global in October 2025. We believe that mass breast cancer screening increases access to timely breast cancer care and raises awareness.
31/12/2025
This year, Solace Foundation focused on strengthening the fight against breast cancer through action and collaboration. Across The Gambia, healthcare workers were trained under the National Breast Cancer Training Initiative funded by Pfizer, building skills that support earlier detection and better care for breast cancer patients.

šæ Wellness in Action: Caring Through Screening
We extend heartfelt gratitude to Innovarx Global Health for their vital role in making the Breast Cancer Fundraising Sports Day a truly holistic health event.
Their dedicated medical team provided free screenings for hypertension, diabetes, and BMI assessments, ensuring community members received not just awareness, but real preventive care. These screenings served as a timely reminder that breast cancer awareness goes hand-in-hand with overall health and wellness. Early detection in all areas of health saves lives. Thank you, Innovarx Global Health and BSIC bank for partnering with purpose and caring with compassion. Together, we are building a healthier, stronger Gambia.

Move for a Cure: Group Exercise with Master Sol
Energy. Unity. Purpose.
Led by the Energetic Master Sol, participants took part in a lively and invigorating group exercise session during the Solace Foundation Breast Cancer Fundraising Day at the Serrekunda East Mini stadium in collaboration with Serrekunda East Sports Development Organization and Sports Journalists' Association of The Gambia.
With the spirits high, the community came together to work out for a cause that touches us all. The energy was contagious, reminding everyone that movement is medicine for the body and the mind. The āMove for a Cureā session perfectly captured the eventās essence: a celebration of life, strength, and solidarity.
We moved not just to stay fit, but to show that together, we are stronger than cancer.

Empowerment Through Education
During the Solace Foundationās Sports Day, attendees gathered to listen to a deeply insightful health talk by Dr. Lamin Jaiteh, President of the Solace Foundation and a steadfast advocate for womenās health in The Gambia.
During the symposium, light was shed on the symptoms, risk factors, and importance of early detection of breast cancer.
Women were reminded that awareness is not just knowledge; itās empowerment, and itās the first step toward saving lives.
This symposium was a movement, one that encourages everyone to act, get screened, and support each other. Together, we can change the story of breast cancer in The Gambiaāļø@
