Effutu MCE Office Brings Relief to Winneba Amid Water Shortage

The Office of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Effutu Municipal Assembly, responded swiftly to a prolonged water shortage caused by a persistent technical fault. By providing emergency water supplies to affected residents, the office brought much‑needed relief and was met with heartfelt gratitude from the community.

Effutu Municipal Assembly and Prison Authorities Launch Joint Sanitation Drive

The Effutu Municipal Assembly, led by the MCE, has partnered with the Effutu Prison Authorities to address pressing sanitation challenges in the municipality. As part of this joint campaign, teams will work to eliminate open defecation and clear weeds and overgrown trees encroaching on public streets. The Assembly has provided slashers and other equipment, and operations commenced today.

We remain committed to our mission and vision and pray for the success of this initiative.

MCE, Effutu presents 100 pairs of Wellington boots to NADMO to support flood-affected farmers - “Resetting Effutu.”

Effutu Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) today presented 100 pairs of Wellington boots to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Effutu, to support farmers affected by recent flooding.
The donation recognizes NADMO’s earlier cash support for flood victims and reinforces the assembly’s commitment to continued partnership.
The MCE also pledged to register flood victims for free NHIS enrollment and to cover NHIS renewals for those in need. NADMO Director Faustina Okailey Aryitey and staff received the items and expressed their appreciation.

Road Rehabilitation Resumes in Effutu Municipality

Road regrading, scraping and refilling works in Effutu Municipality have resumed. Operations are currently underway on the principal streets of Gyatakurom, Ateitu, and Osubonpanyin communities.

May God grant us the resources and logistics needed to continue addressing other high-priority requests across the municipality.

Resetting Effutu - United for a Cleaner, Safer Coast

Yesterday we were honored to visit a dedicated group of volunteers who, with open hearts and a spirit of service done a creditable and marvelous clean up exercises along a section of our beach. This was joined by the municipal authorities, the Environmental Department, and the commander of prison services to support our coastal clean-up.

We envision by measurable plans to tackle open defecation, removed debris, and begin restoring the shoreline to healthier, more environmentally friendly conditions.

This partnership - with youth volunteers working alongside prison officers and inmates - reinforces our ongoing sanitation efforts across the municipality. I commend the youth for their patriotism and volunteerism and thank all the groups who have engaged with my office to support these important activities. It is encouraging to see real improvements resulting from our collective efforts.

I respectfully appeal for support - additional resources and tools to sustain and expand this project. Let us continue to work together to reset Effutu. As your Municipal Chief Executive, I remain committed to this work and welcome the support of all stakeholders.

MCE Rev. Atta Mensah leads Day One National Clean‑Up in Esuekyir, orders immediate demolition of unsafe building

During the Day One National Clean‑Up Exercise, the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Rev. Atta Mensah, led a team to the flood‑prone rural community of Esuekyir in response to the President’s directives and guidance from the Effutu Municipal Assembly. The MCE joined residents in clearing weeds, desilting gutters and inspecting final waste‑disposal sites.

While on the visit, Rev. Mensah discovered a severely dilapidated building that posed a serious safety risk and ordered its immediate demolition. The female owner of the structure had appealed to the Assembly for assistance, stating the building was beyond repair and urging prompt action to protect the public. The MCE and Municipal Assembly responded within five hours, deploying machinery to remove the hazard. Traditional leaders, opinion leaders and residents expressed gratitude for the swift intervention.

Rev. Mensah prayed for additional resources to sustain clean‑up efforts and other initiatives that will support the development of Effutu. Resetting Effutu With You!
