Yesterday, I chaired a successful and productive first Northern Regional Executive Committee Meeting.

The meeting brought together Regional Executives, Members of Parliament and all Constituency Chairmen and Secretaries, as provided for by the Party’s Constitution.

We deliberated on key issues affecting the Party across the constituencies and charted a clear and strategic path forward for the Northern Region.

Together, we remain focused on strengthening the Party, deepening unity and preparing for victory in 2028.

Last night, we had the honour of swearing in the newly appointed members of the Northern Regional Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in accordance with the provisions of the party’s Constitution.

The appointments are intended to strengthen the Regional Executive Committee and complement the work of the elected executives as we continue to build a stronger and more united party.

We congratulated the newly appointed executives and urged them to serve with commitment, humility, discipline and loyalty to the party. We are confident that their experience and dedication will contribute significantly to the growth and development of the NPP in the Northern Region.

Together, we remain committed to strengthening our structures and positioning the party for victory in the years ahead.

Yesterday, I joined some members of the Northern Regional Executive Committee to accompany the Member of Parliament for Gushegu, Hon. Lawyer Hassan Tampuli, on the occasion of the disbursement of financial support to students in the constituency to assist them with their school fees.

This gesture demonstrates the MP’s commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of our young people. I commend Hon. Lawyer Hassan Tampuli for this initiative and encourage the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and make the most of the opportunity.

As a party, we will continue to support initiatives that empower our youth and contribute to the development of our communities.

I, together with fellow Regional Executives, yesterday accompanied His Excellency former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya-Naa, on the passing of the late Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Abukari II.

May Allah grant the late Ya-Naa Abukari II Al-Jannah Firdaus and grant strength, peace, and comfort to the people of Dagbon during this difficult period. 🤲🏾

3rd-Day Adua Ceremony of Rtd Major Sulemana Abukari-Naa Yab Tolon Naa.

May Allah forgive his shortcomings, reward his lifetime of service, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. His legacy will endure in the hearts of our people and in the history of Dagbon.

It is with profound sadness that I have learnt of the passing of the Paramount Chief of Tolon, Major Sulemana Rtd.

On behalf of the Northern Regional NPP and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family, the Chiefs and people of Tolon, and the entire traditional community.

The late Paramount Chief was a respected traditional leader whose service, wisdom and commitment to the peace and development of Tolon will be remembered.

At this difficult moment, we pray for strength and comfort for the bereaved family and all who mourn his passing. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give the bereaved family the fortitude to bear this great loss.

We had the opportunity to deliberate on key issues concerning the party and chart a clear path forward.

With the necessary plans and strategies now in place, work is set to begin in earnest.

As a team, we are ready to hit the ground running, strengthen our structures, unite our members, and work tirelessly for the growth and success of our great party in the Northern Region.

The mandate is clear, the commitment is strong, and the work starts now. Together, we move forward.
