Sin ce you are God's people, it is n ot right that any matters of sexu al immorality or indecency or greed shou ld even be mentioned among you.
NB: If you are a Christian, l et your lifestyle tells people about y ou. Allow yourself for Christ to contr ol your life.
Good morning and have a ni ce day 🙌🙌🙌
*Invitation to Passover*
*2 Chronicles 30: 9*
*“For if you return to t he LORD, your brethren and your childr en will be treated with compassion by tho se who lead them captive, so th at they may come back to th is land; for the LORD your G od is gracious and merciful, and wi ll not turn His face from y ou if you return to Him.”*
King Hezeki ah of Judah had watched as t he powerful Assyrian empire conquered the Jew s’ relatives in the northern kingdom, w ho have become known as the 10 lo st tribes. After restoring temple worship in Jerusal em, Hezekiah sent messengers to the remna nt of Israel that hadn’t yet be en taken captive. He invited them to a belat ed Passover service in the second mon th, as allowed in the Law of Mos es *(Numbers 9:10-11).*
Hezekiah’s call for repentance a nd renewal was mocked by many * (2 Chronicles 30:10),* but some from t he northern tribes of Israel humbled themselv es and joined with the people of Jud ah in celebrating God’s festivals and turni ng to God *(verse 11).*
God heard a nd was pleased by the people’s observan ce of this important festival. *“So the re was great joy in Jerusalem, f or since the time of Solomon t he son of David, king of Isra el, there had been nothing like th is in Jerusalem” *(verse 26)*
*MONDAY - 14TH DECEMBER, 2020*
Ac ts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, aft er that the Holy Ghost is co me upon you: and ye shall be witness es unto me both in Jerusalem, a nd in all Judaea, and in Samar ia, and unto the uttermost part of t he earth.
NB: When you feel the prese nt of the Holy spirit within y ou, you have to act by shari ng your experience with others. This is o ne of our basic task.
Good morning a nd have a wonderful day 😀😀😀😀
*ALL FAITH QUOTES IN THE BIBLE*
*JO HN 14:1-4*
*Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. *
*In my Father's house a re many mansions: if it were n ot so, I would have told y ou. I go to prepare a pla ce for you.*
And if I go a nd prepare a place for you, *I wi ll come again, and receive you un to myself;* that where I am, the re ye may be also.
*And whith er I go ye know, and t he way ye know.*

*Blessing on David’s Dynasty*
*1 Chronicles 17:2 7*
*“Now You have been pleased to ble ss the house of Your servant, th at it may continue before You forev er; for You have blessed it, O LO RD, and it shall be blessed forever.”*
Ki ng David loved and honored God a nd deeply desired to build a house —a beautiful temple—for Him. At first, Nath an the prophet told David to go ahe ad, that God was with him in h is plans *(1 Chronicles 17:2)*. But G od then told Nathan to tell Dav id that he could not build t he temple (verse 4). Other passages sh ow that God did not want t he temple built by a man w ho had shed much blood in w ar, but that God’s house would be bui lt by David’s son in a ti me of peace.
While God turned down David ’s request to build Him a hou se, God showed that He was pleas ed with David’s heart and desire. Inste ad of David building Him a hou se, God promised to build David a house— an everlasting royal dynasty (verse 10)! Th is is what David was praising G od for in verse 27.
*God’s promise is bei ng fulfilled in several ways. Physically, G od said David would never lack a descenda nt “to sit on the throne of t he house of Israel” *(Jeremiah 33:17). B ut it also refers to Jesus Chri st, who inherited the throne of Dav id and will rule forever *(Luke 1:32-3 3). And it includes David himself, w ho will be resurrected to rule in t he Kingdom of God *(Jeremiah 30:9).*
*Lamentations 3:21-23 📖 We have be en examining the nature of faith. B ut on what must we build a stro ng faith in the Lord? Let´s lo ok at seven aspects of the foundati on: *
_1. God is. Faith must be bui lt around the simple confession that t he Lord is—that He is real a nd that He exists and is inde ed God. 2. God is love. N ot only is God real, but He ´s also intimately concerned with your li fe and wants to engage in a relationsh ip with you. 3. God is ju st. You never have to wonder wheth er or not the Lord will tre at you fairly. His justice is absolute ly perfect—even when He hands out H is loving discipline. 4. God is all-knowi ng. He knows your heart, your pa in, and your questions. You cannot sho ck or surprise Him. 5. God is everywhe re. You never have to wonder whe re He is; in truth, you cann ot escape Him. Wherever you are, He is rig ht by your side. 6. God is all-powerf ul. There is nothing greater than G od. No matter how enormous the challeng es and heartaches in your life se em to be, you can overcome th em in His power. 7. God is faithf ul. That is, He is utterly a nd completely dependable. Because of this tru th, God´s children know that they c an always count on Him for t he others. No matter how far y ou stray, He remains at your si de. Regardless of what you have do ne, He will always welcome you ho me. _
_Use the above list as a pray er guide, recognizing each one of the se characteristics of God and offering yo ur faith as a sacrifice today._

(2 Corinthians 4:17, NIV)
"F or our light and momentary troubles a re achieving for us an eternal glo ry that far outweighs them all."
IT'S ON LY TEMPORARY
In this world, we all ha ve troubles and trials, but aren’t y ou glad that scripture promises that th ey are only temporary? Today’s verse tel ls us they are momentary. Compared wi th eternity, our troubles won’t last lo ng at all! The second part of th is verse tells us that when we sta nd strong in faith during times of adversi ty, we are building that faith a nd achieving eternal glory. When you confe ss your trust and reliance on G od, you are passing the test!
If y ou are in the middle of tou gh times today, look to God. T he Bible says that Jesus is t he Author and Finisher of your fai th. He is the one who writ es faith on your heart and th en develops it to completion on t he inside of you as you yie ld yourself to Him. Your part is to se ek Him daily. Follow His commands. Op en your heart and choose to spe ak His Word which is alive a nd active. Remember, your trials are on ly temporary, but His eternal glory outweig hs it all!
Father, thank You for worki ng Your eternal glory in me. I ca st my cares on You, knowing th at my trials and troubles are on ly temporary. Thank You for Your etern al blessing on my life today a nd always in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*He Who Rules Over Men*
2 Samu el 23:3
*“The God of Isra el said, the Rock of Israel spo ke to me: ‘He who rules ov er men must be just, ruling in t he fear of God.’”*
David, a man aft er God’s own heart, recorded these “la st words” *(2 Samuel 23:1)* to tea ch future leaders how they should ru le. Our God is a God of bo th justice and mercy, and He wan ts those in leadership positions to jud ge righteous judgment and to be fa ir to all.
The basis of right leadersh ip is a reverence for the all-powerf ul God who sets the perfect patte rn of leadership. (Learn more in o ur article “What Does the Fear of t he Lord Mean?”) Jesus Christ set t he example of service and sacrifice. We, too, are to do justly, lo ve mercy and walk humbly with G od *(Micah 6:8).* God’s rule is tru ly for the benefit of those governed
*LO VE ONE ANOTHER*
And Jesus said unto him:
* no man having put his hand to t he plough;*
or "ploughshare", or "plough handle",referring, as, to the business of Elisha, in *( 1 Kin gs 19:19 )*
*And looking back;*
behind him; f or the ploughman ought to look befo re him, on his plough, and t he ground he is ploughing, or he is n ot fit to be a ploughman; n or will he make proper furrows, or do h is work well; and so he th at enters upon the ministerial work, a nd looks back, and engages himself in t he affairs of the world, sets h is heart on them, and spends h is time in them,
*is not fit f or the kingdom of God:*
that is, to prea ch the kingdom of God, as in *( Lu ke 9:60 )*. He cannot serve G od and mammon, his own interest, a nd the interest of Christ; he cann ot rightly perform the work of t he ministry, whilst his thoughts and ti me are taken up in the affai rs of the world.

Constantine changed the Sabbath and t he Roman Papal church Accepted it a nd traditions of men..Even though years lat er claiming they changed it because th ey have the power to do so...Sund ay actually made very little headway as a Christi an day of rest until the ti me of Constantine in the fourth centu ry. Constantine was emperor of Rome fr om AD 306 to 337. He w as a sun worshiper during the fir st years of his reign. Later, he profess ed conversion to Christianity, but at hea rt remained a devotee of the s un. Edward Gibbon says, “The Sun w as universally celebrated as the invincible gui de and protector of Constantine.”i
Constantine created t he earliest Sunday law known to histo ry in AD 321. It says this:
On the venerable Day of the s un let the magistrates and people residi ng in cities rest, and let a ll workshops be closed. In the count ry, however, persons engaged in agriculture m ay freely and lawfully continue their pursui ts: because it often happens that anoth er Day is not so suitable f or grain sowing or for vine planti ng: lest by neglecting the proper mome nt for such operations the bounty of heav en should be lost.ii
Chamber’s Encyclopedia says this:
Unquestionab ly the first law, either ecclesiastical or civ il, by which the Sabbatical observance of th at Day is known to have be en ordained, is the edict of Constanti ne, 321 A.D.iii
Following this initial legislation, bo th emperors and Popes in succeeding centuri es added other laws to strengthen Sund ay observance. What began as a pag an ordinance ended as a Christian regulati on. Close on the heels of t he Edict of Constantine followed the Cathol ic Church Council of Laodicea (circa 364 AD):
Christia ns shall not Judaize and be id le on Saturday (Sabbath), but shall wo rk on that Day: but the Lord ’s Day, they shall especially honour; a nd as being Christians, shall, if possib le, do no work on that d ay. If however, they are found Judaizi ng, they shall be shut out fr om Christ.iv
Another reason for worship on Sund ay is to celebrate Christ's resurrection. Is th is reason valid? Read the next artic le to find out
