Abigail Tetteh, a 16 years old girl who was saved by one of our maternal health volunteers. During labour, Abigail was sent to a Traditional Birth Attendant but someone hinted our volunteer and she was quickly rushed rushed to St Martins hospital in Agormanya where she delivered safely. Abigail (middle) carrying the baby.The baby is now 3 weeks old.

“Many CHPS Compounds operate under poor conditions”-Survey The survey disclosed that due to the poor conditions, almost all patients, most of whom were pregnant women, shun the CHPS compounds at their respective areas and travelled longer distances to visit bigger health facilities even on emergencies.

Training of farmers on mango grafting 27/11/2013

In May 2013, SSG trained 46 farmers on mango grafting as part of the project titled "Reforestation and Livelihood Enhancement Project (RELEP) For Biodiversity Conservation & Sustainable Land Management within the Weto Landscape Area of Todome, Tongor-Kaira and Peki-Wudome Communities". The training is one (1) of the four (4) livelihood support programmes designed for the project, which is aimed at protecting and conserving the natural and semi-natural habitats and ecosystem services within the Weto Landscape.

Launch of the Communication manual 21/12/2012

SSG launched a communication manual for District Assembly Members to as part of activities scheduled for the Phase 3 of the Promoting the Rights of the Vulnerable to Information (PRIVI) Project at the Afrikiko Resort, Akosombo on November 20 2012. The manual was launched by Professor Audrey Gadzekpo, Lecturer, School of Communication Studies.

World AIDS Day 21/12/2012

On December 2 2012 SSG with funding from African Women Development Fund (AWDF) organized a football gala and cycling competition to commemorate World AIDS Day 2012 at Fintey, Asuogyaman District. This was organized with support from the Asuogyaman District ADIS Committee (DAC) and Eastern Regional Technical Support Union under the Ghana AIDS Commisionrict AIDS Committee
