Earth Called—She Wants Her Trees, Bees and Clean Seas Back.

Today, on World Earth Day, we pause to reflect not just on the beauty of our planet, but on the urgent need to protect it. From the air we breathe to the water we drink and the food we eat, everything we rely on comes from this one Earth. And yet, we’re treating it like it’s disposable, cutting down forests faster than we can replant, poisoning our water bodies with plastic and other unwanted materials through actions such as irresponsible mining and warming the climate with every unchecked emission.

The bees are vanishing, coral reefs are bleaching and entire species are being pushed to the edge. If the Earth could talk, she might sound a bit fed up and rightly so. We’ve taken so much for granted for so long. But it’s not too late. Earth Day isn’t just about celebrating nature, it’s about recommitting to its protection. That means rethinking our choices, embracing sustainability and holding leaders accountable for real environmental action.

This planet has carried us through every storm, every harvest, every sunrise. It’s time we returned the favor, not just today, but every day. Because if Earth stops calling, we’ll have nowhere else to go.

🥦 The 💉 Needle Tree♥️

There were once two brothers who lived on the edge of a forest. The elder brother was very mean to his younger brother and ate up all the food and took all his good clothes. One day, the elder brother went into the forest to find some firewood to sell in the market. As he went around chopping the branches of a tree after tree, he came upon a magical tree. The tree said to him, ‘Oh kind sir, please do not cut my branches. If you spare me, I will give you my golden apples’. The elder brother agreed but was disappointed with the number apples the tree gave him. Greed overcame him, and he threatened to cut the entire trunk if the tree didn’t give him more apples. The magical tree instead showered upon the elder brother hundreds upon hundreds of tiny needles. The elder brother lay on the ground crying in pain as the sun began to lower down the horizon.

The younger brother grew worried and went in search of his elder brother. He found him with hundreds of needles on his skin. He rushed to his brother and removed each needle with painstaking love. After he finished, the elder brother apologized for treating him badly and promised to be better. The tree saw the change in the elder brother’s heart and gave them all the golden apples they could ever need.

Story Moral :- It is important to be kind and gracious as it will always be rewarded.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
THEME: End Plastic Pollution, Ecosystem Restoration.
According to John Ruskin, nature has been painting for us countless pictures of beauty every day. People simply do not recognize the benefits that nature may provide. We have days like World Environment Day to serve as a reminder of what we are missing out on. Planting a sapling, waving signs, yelling slogans, and participating in rallies are all undoubtedly something, but they're not everything. We should strive to make our environment sustainable and be much more aware of the type of environment we are a part of. It is not enough to perform all of this for just one day in order to achieve that; we must make it a way of life. The relationship between human beings and the environment is important and it is necessary that they understand and work to keep it strong. Participate and let's work together to make some real change.

🧑🏻‍🦰A Good Boy and an old woman.

An old woman wanted to cross a road. She was weak. Therefore she wanted help. She waited long. She waited alone.

She saw a large number of school boys. They were laughing and talking. They were going home. So they were happy. They looked at the old woman. They did not help her. They walked on.

But one boy went to the old woman. He said to her, “Mother! Do you want to cross the road? I will help you. I will take you to the other side."

The boy helped the old woman. He led her across the road. He did a good deed. He was happy. He said, “I helped somebody’s mother. So, somebody will help my mother in her old age."

“Dear God! Be kind to this good boy," said the old woman in her prayer.

lets talk about today.
It was shared on UNICEF page that
-1 in 5 girls were married before they turned 18 years.
-we are 300 years away from ending this (child marriage).
With causes like , inequality, cultural and religious norms, pressure and poor .
Don't you think 300 years is too much to minimize the effects such as violence, abused and forced sexual relations due to unequal power relations, vulnerability to (including HIV)?
We have ladies in our team and we think if all ladies should stand up against this, we shall end it before 300years.
look at the disadvantages it has both on us (female children) and our ;
-negetively influencing children's rights to , and . These consequences impact not just the girl child but also her family and community. A girl who is married as a child is more likely to be out of and not earn money to contribute to Community.
they say is and education is the key to .
lets read Misha's story and put our shoes in Madam Lami's then ask ourselves if we can not do it in less than 300 years.
3S Foundation and Read Aloud Initiative are ready and willing to work with individuals and organisations that are ready to join this fight and success shall be ours if we approach it with dedication and hardwork.
Kindly share so more women can join the advocacy to fight this menace.
