[10/04/15]   BENEFITS OF HONEY TO THE SKIN - Continued.

3. Gentle Exfoliator
Honey is loaded with antioxidants, enzymes, and other nutrients that nourish, cleanse, and hydrate skin. It is a gentle natural exfoliator that removes dead skin cells, allowing new cells to emerge for a radiant complexion.

4. Scar Fader
Honey is said to lighten skin, and its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial compounds help to decrease the appearances of scars and increase healing and tissue regeneration. The hydrating properties of honey and coconut oil or olive oil will also help revive skin cells, while regular, gentle massaging will increase circulation to aid skin recovery and cell turnover.

5. Acne Treatment
Honey contains antibacterial and antifungal properties that thwart bacteria that can lead to breakouts. Its anti-inflammatory properties will calm redness and irritation further leading to acne.

--To be continued

Honey's often thought of as a healthier sweetener, but you might be surprised to learn that this ingredient has tons of skin and hair benefits, too. Made by the alchemy of bees collecting nectar, pollen, and resins from flowers, honey can help moisturize, fight aging, and fight bacteria. Plus, it’s loaded with nutrients, antioxidants, and healing compounds. Next time you’re browsing the grocery store shelves, look for raw honey, which hasn't been heat-treated or pasteurized; it contains more active phytonutrient antioxidants and enzymes for enhanced benefits.
1. Moisturizing Mask
Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the air into the skin and ensures it's retained it in the layers where it’s needed most for penetrating, long-lasting hydration. 2. Pore Cleanser
The enzymes in raw honey clarify skin and keep pores clear and clean. Plus, the antibacterial properties of honey and jojoba or coconut oil also prevent bacterial buildup that can lead to skin imbalances and breakouts.

"Food of the Gods" on your skin

Cocoa whose Latin name is Theobroma cacao, which means “Food of the Gods”. Cocoa is native to the Amazon region and as the meaning suggests, cocoa was historically considered a very important crop in Central and South America. In fact, the beans of cocoa were so prized that the native tribes used them as a form of currency. The fruit of the cocoa tree is a pod full of sweet pulp enfolding a cluster of about 20-40 cacao seeds. Today, cocoa is produced across the world led by Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire.
Cocoa is rich in minerals such as iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorous, copper and manganese. It is also a good source of selenium, potassium, and zinc while providing the body with carbohydrates, protein, and dietary fiber.
Cocoa offers anti-inflammatory, anti-allergenic, anti-carcinogenic and antioxidant qualities and has demonstrated positive effects by imparting numerous health benefits.

The skin is known to be the largest organ, hence the wisest cosmetology decision is to incorporate it in soaps and creams.

In the next editions we will explain fully the benefits your skin derives from cocoa and how we at BODYWORKS use it to benefit you our precious clients

Shea Butter - Best Stretch Marks Repairer

The stretching-out of skin, due to pregnancy or weight bearing, causes the skin to break. This leads to developing reddish lines on the surface which then turn into white when the skin is completely damaged. This process results in non-renewable dead cells, the tissue weakens, cannot manufacture collagen, and lacks needed nutrition
and moisturization.
Accordingly, the first step in treatment is to remove the dead skin layer, motivate collagen and blood circulation in the damaged areas, and then to apply recipes that help renewing the skin. Some causes of stretch marks are:
• Obesity or bearing a considerable weight.
• Hormonal changes, especially among women during puberty.
• Pregnancy, especially after the sixth month.
• Hormonal illnesses, such as adrenal gland disorders.
• Some chronic diseases, such as tumors and ascites conditions.
• Using certain kinds of creams, and having Cortisone shots for long periods.
Body areas stretch marks more likely to appear includes:
Thighs, belly and breasts in case of pregnancy.
While for weight bearing, stretch marks appear on
the belly, thighs, hips and armpits.

Instead of spending money on expensive products that may even cause serious side effects, shea butter is the most effective solution for removing stretch marks. It is highly concentrated with vitamins needed for skin improvement and preventing stretch marks from developing. Wheat germ oil can be added to shea butter in equal portions for old stretch marks treatment.

Note that there are various grades of Shea butter from Grade 'A' to 'D' with 'A' graded premium natural with all essential vitamins and healing properties present. Insist its a BODYWORKS product- We guarantee 100% premium Grade 'A' SHEA butter and products.

Speak to your Acne: Vanish (Part3)

Acne Treatment

Your skin is an organ in
your body, just like your kidney. Like your kidney, it needs to be fed with water and moisture to function properly. That's
where moisturizing comes in. After every time you wash your face, moisturize. It is widely accepted that different skin types call for different moisturizers. This is inapplicable when using Shea butter. Irrespective of skin type it works just perfectly for you USE SHEA BUTTER. SHEA BUTTER a perfect sun screen. Over exposure to the sun can quickly erode your gains and worsen your plight. I call it natures miracle creamy gift. Make sure you get it from BODYWORKS. It is 100% grade A guaranteed extracted naturally.

Get enough rest exercise, and reduce stress in your life:

These things may seem to have nothing to do with the quality of your skin, but they in fact have a
very meaningful relationship with quality of skin. Doctors don't exactly know why, but stress worsens acne.

1. When stress is produced in humans, the hormones that regulate sebum, an excess of which produces acne, stop working as well.

2. So find healthy ways to
reduce stress in your life and see your skin get better! The more you sleep, the less stress you put your body through. You have about 15% more stress for every hour of sleep you lose per night.

3. And we just learned that stress causes acne. So get those ZZZs and see your acne improve.
Exercise is a healthy way to give
stress an outlet. Plain and simple, it's harder to be stressed when we're all tuckered out. So join a gym, play an intramural sport, or start running on your own.

The End........

Speak to your Acne: Vanish(Part2)

Acne Treatment

1. A sure and quick way to clearing your Acne is maintaining a clean and clear skin. Note that clogged pores trapping skin oils further breeding bacteria caused your acne, hence a deep cleansed pore skin may not develop acne. A surely tried, tested and proven way to attain this is using BODYWORKS soap and shower gel daily.

2. Wash your face twice a day — no
less. Washing your face is good: try to wash once in the morning and once at night.

3. Try not to pick at or pop your
pimples. You're using natural
remedies for your acne treatment — that's great. Don't wipe away all your gains by popping your pimples. The short-term gratification might be overwhelming, but it's really not good in the long run.
Acne is a bacteria that lives in your
pores. Popping the pimple gives the
acne a chance to spread over the skin to other pores, infecting them.
Popping pimples causes inflammation and may lead to scarring. So if you want your acne to be less visible, resist the urge to pop. Stop before you pop.

"Speak" to your Acne: Vanish (Part1)

Acne occurs when the pores of your skin become clogged, most often on the face, neck, back , and chest. No one knows exactly why this happens, but we do know that testosterone plays a part, as does heredity.
Once a pore becomes clogged, it traps skin oil inside. Bacteria grows in this oil and can cause an inflammatory response in the skin. Acne lesions can be small and hardly noticeable, have a small white or black head, or can appear red with a white/yellow center. Sometimes a clogged pore will become so inflamed that it can lead to larger, more painful lesions called nodules or cysts, which can ultimately scar. Almost no one escapes some clogged pores and pimples, especially during adolescence--a fragile time when self-esteem
and 2confidence is just emerging. Acne afflicts people of all ethnicities and is treated the same regardless.
Our skin is healthiest and clearest when it is in balance. The more irritation your skin experiences, the more likely it is to break out.
Conversely, the less irritation your skin experiences, the better it is able to remain clear. Sources of irritation include anything which rubs, scratches, or comes into prolonged
contact with your skin, as well as anything which sends your skin out of balance such as overdryness, sunburns, shaving the face with
irritating razors, and pore-clogging cosmetics.

Eczema free skin-continued(Part 2)

Eczema is a diverse disease that can range from mild skin irritation to severe rashes. In skin of color, eczema may not have the typical
appearance of red, flaky patches. Instead, it may appear as dry ashen, brown or gray patches. In addition, in black skin, eczema may appear as
rough, brown papules (bumps) near follicles which is termed, follicular papules. There are three stages of eczema: acute, subacute and chronic.
An individual with eczema
may have only one stage or the stages may progress from one to another.
A major symptom of eczema is very intense itching. Scratching is a natural response to the itching. However, melanin in brown skin makes it more reactive to itching, irritation and inflammation. When scratched or rubbed, the inflamed skin can become hyperpigmented,
thickened and crusted. It is important to break the itch-scratch cycle to prevent further hyperpigmentation.

> Treatment

• Once eczema flares in brown skin, treating it promptly is key to not only eliminating the itch, but also avoiding hyperpigmentation or
Prevention of eczema is as important asprescription medication. Understanding the causes of eczema, trigger factors and proper skin care techniques are the first step to treating eczema. Some individuals with eczema will need
to avoid certain foods, allergens or medicines.

• BODYWORKS OFFERS A TOTAL CASH BACK SERVICE IF OUR BODYWORKS BLACK SOAP AND SHOWER GEL DOES NOT COMPLETELY CLEAR IT WITHOUT TRACES WITHIN 14 DAYS OF CONTINUOUS USE. Apply our shower gel on the infected skin 10 minutes before bath. This is to say in plain language our Shower gel and Soap is an outright cure to your Eczema if proven by a qualified specialist it is Eczema.

• Finally if all these do not work see a qualified dermatologist.

The End........ Up next: Acne(Pimples)

Eczema free skin (Part1)

Eczema is a common skin problem in individuals with brown skin including those of Asian, Latino
and African descent. It is felt to be the second most common skin disease in African-Americans.
Eczema can be a difficult and embarrassing challenge for anyone, but for a person of color with eczema, there are multiple concerns
including disfiguring discoloration of the skin (hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation). Also, in
brown skin, eczema may appear differently than in white skin thus making the correct diagnosis more difficult.
In cases in which eczema is inherited along with the conditions, asthma and hay fever, it is termed, atopic dermatitis. Eczema usually appears in childhood or adolescence and frequently continues throughout adulthood. The course of eczema
varies with intermittent flares which are precipitated by the following factors:

> Extremes of temperature
• cold, dry weather
• hot, humid weather

> Stress
• emotional

> Excessively dry skin
• over bathing
• long, hot showers or baths
• dry home heating systems

> Irritants
• skin care products (soaps or cleansers)
• wool clothing
• laundry detergents and dryer sheets

• food (dairy, shellfish etc)
• plants (poison ivy, oak, sumac)
• medications
• dust and dust mites
• pollen

Flush your Razor Bumps (Part 4)

• Do not shave until the Bumps are completely healed.

• See a qualified dermatologist if the problem persists.

The cycle of hair growth starts
immediately after shave. The care you give it at this crucial time is as important as the shave process. Failure to use the proper aftershave care has reversed some great gains some people have made.

• Apply Shea butter:
Shea butter is probably the best thing that can happen to your shaved skin. Shea butter does not only contain the highest moisture any cream known to man has, but also has natural fatty acids, Vitamins A,E, ect. The moisturising properties lubricates the follicle through the pores and tenderizes the skin surface as the hair pushes from the skin so to easily come out from the pore and not curl back into skin. Remember all shea butter isn't the same depending on how they were extracted. Graded from A-E Grade A been the highest premium quality extracted with NO CHEMICAL. At BODYWORKS we pride ourselves in producing only Grade A shea butter and duely certified by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA)

• Remember what caused your bumps: Dead skin, Dirt on skin and Bacteria infections. Continue to use your BODYWORKS Shower gel and soap daily to gently exfoliate dead skin, deep pore cleanse from inside-up and eliminate all bacteria as it has the highest natural antibacterial content.

In conclusion be patient and remember that razor bumps are stubborn annoyances that can last for many weeks but in most cases will resolve. With a little preparation and by employing consistent, healthy skin care techniques, you can stop them before they begin.

...................THE END.................

Flush your Razor Bumps-continued (Part 3)

Below is one letter out of the hundreds we received from you our cherished clients and readers:

"Dear Bodyworks, I really must start with my deep appreciation of your products and information you share with us. I had lots of razor bumps and so uncomfortable. On the other hand when I followed your direction with your BODYWORKS shower gel there is a great and tremendous improvement and am so excited. My challenge however is the time spent in going through the 'Bath Shaving' process. Is there any other process with same results but less time spent"

Thank you for sharing with us your experience. We also appreciate the product response.
Those who have developed razor bumps over a period must also understand that it will take sometime to completely clear. The only advantage is that our products speeds and completely clears up your skin between 2days and 2 weeks if our directions are religiously followed depending on the extent of damage and skin type.

Yes there is an alternative to Bath shaving.

Bath shaving alternative:

After preparing the work surface by showering with BODYWORKS shower gel or soap days ahead;

1. Make hot/warm water and splash it on the spot to be shaved for 1-2 minutes (This opens up the pores and makes the hair stands erect)
2. Pour out enough BODYWORKS shower gel in your palm. Rub it on the spot and add some water to make leather.
3. Proceed to shave with a sharp razor.
4. Rinse the shaved spot with hot/warm water.
5. Conclude with a rinse of cold water (this closed back the pores to prevent any infection)

Dear cherished client hope this is less process and much convenient.

Please feel free to send in all your queries and we will gladly answer.
