An anthropologist proposed a game to the kids in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had run like that as one could have had all the fruits for himself they said: ''UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?''

The NATO...are they really needed in African affairs?
How relevant are they to African security?
Have they, by past or present action, illegally interfered in the issues and related issues of Africa?

MPA would like to express its heartfelt condolences to the family of Ghana's former Vice President Aliu Mahama, his political party and the people of Ghana during this hard time of having lost a true illustrious son. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Does the personal life of the office holder matter? Can we talk about about leadership of integrity without examining the personal choices and morality of the office seeker?

AS GHANA TAKES HER PLACE AMONG THE WORLD'S EMERGING ECONOMIC POWERS, LET US EXERCISE RESTRAINT OVER OUR EXPECTATIONS ABOUT TOMORROW. WHILE DEMANDING GREATER POLITICAL ACCOUNTABILITY, IT SHOULD NOT BE FORGOTTEN THAT WE, THE PEOPLE, HAVE GREAT RESPONSIBILITIES TO DISCHARGE TOWARDS MAKING GHANA TRULLY BLESSED. OUR GUTTERS ARE CHOKED, HOSPITAL BEDS ARE INADEQUATE, THE BOARDERS ARE POROUS, AND OUR SCHOOLS FAIL TOO MANY. THESE ARE THE CHALLENGES WE FACE. OUR SUCCESS THIS CENTURY WILL DEPEND ON HOW THESE ARE ADDRESSED. BUT WE, AS A PEOPLE, WILL GET THERE.

MPA would like to urge the Arab and Islamic nations to resolve to peace in order to protect life and property. MPA would also like to condemn the contents of the film defaming the Holy Prophet Muhammed. Let us let peace reign.

MPA wants to express its heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Ethiopia even in these hard times as they mourn the loss of their long-serving PM, Meles Zenawi. May his soul rest in peace.

I think Africa is beginning to see the light am very glad Nigeria has appointed a woman as its Chief Justice following Ghana's example.. Ghana indeed is the gateway of Africa.. let you & I do things that would be exemplary to the African continent... THE TIME IS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If no one is teaching entrepreneurship, patriotism and positive change in our high schools -not even in some universities- in Ghana, then how do we end youth unemployment? Because seriously, the jobs that used to be available are only a mirage now. A mirage because people think they are there but they aren't. Ghana's education system concentrates more on ENTITLEMENT at the end of school than RESPONSIBILITY. The ILO in a report last year indicated that about 1.2 billion youths in the world are unemployed. I believe everyone has potential and I want to challenge everyone in this group to start thinking, reading and learning about ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Robert Kiyosaki, Bill Gates and our own Prince Kofi Amoabeng have become wealthier than they would have been if they had worked for people all their lives. You can work to gain experience or to learn but please don't work for people for the rest of your life. Create jobs to employ. So help us God!

The people who are leading others in this nation -this continent- themselves don't have the passion to change the poor situation. So it is left to the followers -you and me- to make that change NOW!

Dr. Abu Sakara spoke at the IEA encounter today. One word he kept mentioning was ATTITUDE. He spoke about positive attitudinal change towards mental health, education, female gender activism among others. He also spoke about patriotism, commitment, and selfless leadership. These are all very necessary and more importantly, the youth must take this up and start effecting the CHANGE we all need in Ghana.

Peace is an attitude. It is given by God, but maintained by men. It is the same in all places at all times. Lets desist the temptation to fall back on the psyche that we cannot nurture peace in Africa except Europe. From Hohoe to Bunkpurugu through to Ekumfi, Techiman and Kumasi, and Wa, peace is possible. Africa needs us. We need each other. The world needs us. Let therefore, join in remaking Africa the only way its been done for 5000 years; humility touched with determination, knowlege couched in practicality, autonomy baked with experience. We can!

MPA would like to take this opportunity to call on all Ghanaians especially those in the towns that have witnessed clashes to stay calm and allow the security agencies to investigate these unfortunate occurences. MPA calls on Ghanaians to be peaceful before, during and after the 2012 polls and maintain a hard-earned reputation as peaceful people. Ghanaians must look beyond political colours and allow the lessons learnt from war-torn areas in Africa cause us to be peaceful. MPA wishes Ghana well and a peaceful election.
