THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Ath-thalaatha, 10th Jumaadal Uulaa. (Tuesday, 14th of December 2021). *_The Role of Religious Leaders and the so-called Child Marriage_*. BismilLah.
Firstly, I would like to state that there is nothing like Child Marriage in Islam. Islam has its rules. Our Religious leaderss must educate and keep reminding fellow Muslims, especially parents, the rules pertaining to Marriage.
In shariah, the minimum condition is to ensure the female reaches her age of puberty. Reaching the age of puberty should not be considered as the only criteria for deciding on an appropriate age for marriage. Other factors such as the overall maturity of a person, and his or her ability to discern between what is good or bad, such that his personal approval or disapproval in important decisions of life become valid, must also to be taken into consideration.
What is the Meaning of 'Maturity'?
Like all other living beings, the human being too goes through a process of constant change and growth. This natural overall process can be seen distinctly through changes in height, weight, habits, skills, and social, economic and emotional behaviourr. All these patterns have been widely studied and discussed through psychology and other related sciences. Maturity implies the powerful presence of mind and intelligence in one's dealings, one's ability to safeguard one's possessions from being squandered away and one's prudence in spending in a judicious manner.'
For girls, maturity may be defined as follows: 'A girl's ability to manage a good life, her level of acceptance of the responsibility of motherhood and child-rearing, as well as her appropriateness in social behavior.'
From the above definitions, we can see that although one may have reached the age of puberty and according to Islamic practical laws, Salat (prayer) and Sawm (fasting) are now obligatory on him/her, but if he/she is not socially active and economically productive, then he/she may be termed as an adolescent, but not as 'mature'.
The prime age of marriage for girls, would also depend on their mental and psychological maturity. It may be possible that in some cases by the age of 14, a girl may be mature enough to shoulder the responsibility of family-life and motherhood, but a woman of 30 may not yet be mature enough to do so in other areas! Therefore, what is important in determining the ripe age for marriage is one's own level of maturity and readiness, whether one has reached the legal age for marriage or not! It would be very naive to ignore geographical and regional conditions and norms, as well as the needs of the youth of the day, and such negligence could lead to many problems.
In the present world, with the greater intermingling between sexes, better nutrition, educational facilities and more awareness due to advanced mass media, children are reaching "maturity" much earlier than ever before; and considering these factors, raising the legal age for marriage for boys and girls is quite unjustifiable.
Considering the underline factors above, its important for our Religious Leaders to broaden their understanding and organize workshops, regularly lectures etc to educate the youth and the parents as to why its important for their daughters in particular to make their own choice in regards to their marriage whenever they feel ready for it.
*_May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and protects us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul ahad, 8th Jumaadal Uulaa. (Sunday, 12th of December 2021).
*_TRIBALISM AND NATIONALISM IS NOT PART OF ISLAM_*. *Bismillah*.
Let's finalise on the topic above; ALLAH says,
"O mankind, verily ALLAH created you from a male and a female and made you peoples and tribes so that you may recognize each other. Verily, the most honoured of you to ALLAH is (he who) safeguards himself against evil with full awareness of divine laws. Verily, ALLAH is All-Knowing, All-Aware." [Surah Al Hujurat (49): ayah 13]
"It is not for a believer (male or female) that when ALLAH and HIS Messenger have decreed, a matter that they should have any choice in their decision. And whoever disobeys ALLAH and HIS Messenger, he has indeed strayed in plain error." [Surah Al-Ahzab (33): ayah 36].
And those who still uphold nationalism, remember what ALLAH (swt) says,
"And let those who oppose the Messenger's commandment beware, lest some Fitnah (disbelief, trials,afflictions,...) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them."[Surah An-Nur (24): ayah 63]. Let's not allow politics to divide us and disunite us. Let's remember what the Prophet said that when 2 Muslims fight each other and die, both will go to the hellfire astaqfirullah. *_May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and Unite us under the Qur'an and Sunnah. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis 27th day of Rabi-ul Aakhir. (Thursday, 2nd of December 2021). *_WHEN ALLAH DECIDE WHO ELSE CAN DECIDE OTHERWISE_*. BismilLah.
ALLAH says in the Holy Quran to the nearest meaning;
To ALLAH belongs the dominion of the hevens and the earth; HE creates what HE wills. HE gives to whom HE wills female [children], and HE gives to whom HE wills males. Or gives in mix of males and females, and HE renders whom HE wills barren. Indeed, HE is Knowing and Competent. Ash-Shura 42:49/50.
So people are divided into four categories when it comes to blessings with children: some are given daughters, some are given sons, some are given both sons and daughters, and some are not given either sons or daughters, but they are rendered barren, with no offspring. Only ALLAH knows who deserves to be in which of these categories. Why using evil means to conceive?
Similarly to HIS CREATION, HE created four categories of human beings. Some without father and mother such as Aadam. Some without Mother such as Eve, Some without father such as Jesus Christ and some with both parents like Muhammed peace be upon them all and that's part of the power of ALLAH as signs for HIS Existence and Power. Let's rely on HIM solely for whatever we want through patience. Our attitude during our waiting period counts a lot in the court of ALLAH. Nothing can benefit us without HIS involvement. Nothing can harm us without HIS permission to test us, so why worry about life running after this temporary world instead of running to the Creator ALLAH.
*_May ALLAH keeps guiding us all and increase us in beneficial knowledge_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 13th day of Rabi-ul Aakhir. (Thursday, 18th of November 2021). *_APPLICATION OF TAWHEED IN OUR LIVES CONTINUES_*. BismilLah.
The next category of Tawheed is
Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah which means devoting all acts of worship, both inward and outward, in word and deed, to ALLAH Alone, and not worshipping anything or anyone other than ALLAH, no matter who he is. ALLAH says:
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but HIM ALONE”
“Worship ALLAH and join none with HIM (in worship)”[al-Nisa’ 4:36]
It may be described as devoting all one’s actions to ALLAH alone.
It is called Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah because it is based on ta’alluh lillaah which is worship and devotion of ALLAH accompanied by love and veneration.
It is also called Tawheed al-‘Ibaadah (oneness of worship) because it means that a person worships ALLAH by doing that which HE has commanded and avoiding that which HE has forbidden.
It is also called Tawheed al-Talab wa’l-Qasd wa’l-Iraadah (Oneness of goal, purpose and will) because it means that a person does not seek anything except the Face of ALLAH, so he worships HIM sincerely.
This is the kind of Tawheed concerning which people went astray, which is why the Prophets were sent and the Books were revealed. This is the purpose for which the universe was created and laws were prescribed. Concerning this disputes arose between the Prophets and their peoples, so the stubborn were doomed and the believers were saved.
Whoever goes astray with regard to this Tawheed, such as devoting some of his worship to someone other than ALLAH, has gone beyond the pale of Islam and drifted away from true belief. *_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences that can lead us astray_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum Al-Khamis, 6th day of Rabi-ul Aakhir. (Thursday, 11th of November 2021). *_HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOUR FUTURE SPOUSE?_*. BismilLah.
Sadly in modern days, ISLAMIC GUIDELINES pertaining to proper conduct between men and women are not always respected in meeting places.
It is not uncommon to see or hear about potential candidates meeting in private, brothers and sisters “scoping the territory” for a spouse that looks good at Muslim events like conferences or lectures, or starting up a flirtatious conversation with someone they are interested in. None of these things fall within the guidelines of Islam. Such actions are the beginning to the downfall of the Marriage which has not been done.
Below are some Islamic principles, both general and specific, to consider if you will be meeting or seeking a potential spouse for yourself or someone at any place.
1. Ask yourself: Why am I getting married. This is a good question to ask even if you are meeting the person to make a final decision because it will be a reminder about the real purpose of marriage from an Islamic perspective. Marriage is part of faith and it is part of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
As well, “my intention should be I am looking for someone with whom I will build a family. You are looking for someone who will aid you to Jannat. Marriage is a commitment and relationship that starts in this Dunya (world) and will continue Insha ALLAH in Paradise together. You are looking for someone who can be a good dad or good mum to your future kids because, our main focus for kids must be to prepare them to be become sadaqatul Jaariya for us after our death as such you need good partner to aid you prepare for such children if ALLAH bless you with some. To be continued in Shaa ALLAH. *_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum al-ithnayn, 3rd day of Rabi-ul Aakhir. (Monday, 8th of November 2021). *_GAMBLING IS EVIL STAY AWAY FROM IT PLEASE_*. Bismillah.
Gambling means to give or take money or goods depending on something that is not known how it will end. No matter what the name is, any game or bet that has this property and that is played in return for money or goods is called gambling in Shariah.
"O ye who believe! Intoxicants (Alcohol) and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination of Satan's handiwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper. Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of ALLAH, and from prayer (al-Maida, 5/90, 91.
There is no difference between alcohol and gambling in terms of being forbidden and being a sin. ALLAH renders them haram in the same verse above so please stop the football betting and all sort of betting and Lottery if indeed you are a Muslim.
If we want to prosper, we should not go near those things says ALLAH so my question is, are you doubting ALLAH and think you will prosper? No chance in a billion so please stop and rely on ALLAH through hard work.
*_May ALLAH, AR-RAZZAAQ, The ONE who creates all means of nourishment and sustenance protect us from any satanic traps_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 1st day of Rabi-ul Aakhir. (Saturday, 6th of November 2021). *_SALVATION IN ISLAM_*. Bismillah.
ONE OF THE BASIC ARGUMENTS RAISED BY NON-MUSLIMS, ESPECIALLY CHRISTIANS, AGAINST ISLAM CONCERNS THE CONCEPT OF SALVATION_*. They say that in Christianity, one is saved by faith, whereas in Islam one must earn their salvation through good deeds. How do we answer that?
Unfortunately, many Muslims fall into the trap of defending the position imposed on them by these non-Muslims. This then provides the Christians with a basis for their entire Jesus-Father-Crucifixion-Salvation framework. They then go on to argue that salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned. But if the true Islamic concept is made clear, the Christian has no basis to attack Islam.
Many times, Muslims fail to realize that the Islamic concept of salvation is not based upon good deeds, but is based primarily upon faith. In the dozens of times ALLAH Almighty talks in the Quran about salvation, ALLAH always states, "Those who believe and do good deeds." Belief is always mentioned before deeds or works. When one converts to Islaam, one does not do it by doing some good work but rather through realizing and believing that there is but one God and Muhammed peace be upon him is HIS last Messenger. Such persons becomes a Muslim and all their past sins forgiving to the extend that if they are to die the next day without even offering one rakaat salaat, they will enter paradise by the permission of ALLAH. Non-Muslims may perform good works as well, but what sets them apart from Muslims is their lack of EEMAAN (Aqeedah) [faith], or belief. The reason that the good works of the non-believers are worthless in the hereafter is because of their disbelief. Unless a person's eemaan or aqeedah is correct, all his good deeds are worthless.
One of the more popular Hadiths of the Prophet peace be upon him states, "All actions are based upon intentions," implying that the purpose, intent, or imaan behind your action is what you get rewarded for; the actual action is really a consequence of the belief. So say Alhamdulillah for been a practicing Muslim and lets study our deen to do daawah to them as ALLAH commanded. *_May ALLAH keep guiding us and protect us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Jumuat, 18th day of Rabi-ul Awwal. (Sunday, 24th of October 2021). *_WHY WE SHOULD BE LEARNING OUR DEEN_*. BismilLaah.
The purpose of learning is to become conscious of ALLAH and purify the heart.
Ibn Abdul Barr may Allah be pleased with him reported: Sufyan Ath-Thawri, may ALLAH have mercy on him, said, “Verily, knowledge is only studied to become mindful of ALLAH. Verily, knowledge is only favored over other virtues because one is made conscious of ALLAH by it.”Jāmiʻ Bayān al-ʻIlm 759
Imam Al-Ghazali may ALLAH be pleased with him said, “Seeking knowledge is an act of worship of the soul. In the language of the law, it is an act of worship of the heart. It will not be sound unless the heart it purified from evil behaviors and foul characteristics. Mīzān al-ʻAmal 1/342. Any act of worship or way of life not meant to please ALLAH through the Quran and Sunnah way is a waste of time and may even be sinful may ALLAH forbid.
*_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and purify our hearts from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaumul Ahad, 11th day of Rabi-ul Awwal. (Sunday, 17th of October 2021). *_LET'S STRIVE TO SOFTEN OUR HEARTS_*. BismilLah.
It is a curse to have a hardened heart and it is a blessings to have a soft heart. Those with hardened hearts suffer in this life, even though they may have all of the trappings of this life. They cannot find peace of mind and of heart because their hearts are hardened to ALLAH through sins and arguments.
That is why ALLAH says, "And whoever turns away from My remembrance – indeed, he will have a depressed [i.e., difficult] life, and ALLAH will gather [i.e., raise] him on the Day of Resurrection blind." Qur'an 20:124.
What is most beneficial in this life is a soft heart which is acquired through obedience of ALLAH and HIS Messenger. We should strive to achieve it because everything else would be meaningless and useless if we do not have softened heart. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "I have left you on a clear white plain, whose day is like its night. Anyone who deviates from it is destroyed." The ways (Sunnah) of the Prophet support us to achieve a soft heart. Sins hardens the heart so let's strive to stop commiting sins and unnecessary arguments and study the ways of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. *_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and protect us from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
THE DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yaum As-Sabt, 3rd day of Rabi-ul Awwal. (Saturday, 9th of October 2021). *_TAU’BAH (SEEKING FORGIVENESS) is our topic_*. BismilLah.
It is the nature of mankind to be forgetful and to commit sins. However, ALLAH has given us the ability to rectify ourselves by turning to HIM and begging for HIS forgiveness. Our mountains of evil deeds are nothing before the vast ocean of the mercy of ALLAH.
ALLAH has promised to forgive our sins as long as we regret for it and repent from it. Committing sins may make you sorrowful, depressed and deeply disappointed with yourself. But if you return to ALLAH with a few tears and beseech HIM for mercy, HE will certainly forgive you. There is no other door to knock to solve our issues. None can forgive sins except HIM. HE calls us to the abode of peace (Paradise); HE is the Almighty who hides our faults and HE alone can replace our bad deeds with good deeds. ALLAHU AKBAR.
The door of repentance is always open for a person until he dies. When something is a necessity ALLAH provides it in abundance like air and water. Since we are always sinful and negligent of ALLAH and Satan always inciting us towards evil, therefore tau’bah is provided in abundance so we can turn back to ALLAH.
*_May ALLAH have mercy on us and forgive our sins_*. Aameen.
