SPIRITUAL GIFTS 1

Romans 1:11
For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some SPIRITUAL GIFTS, to the end ye may be established;

Followers of Christ must LONG for spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts will help to establish you, that means, to be setup and firmly grounded in the lord. The way to mature and be productive in Christ is to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God promised us His Holy Spirit as a sign of His reconciliation and our acceptance into the heavenly family. ( Ephesians 1:5, 3:15, Galatians 4:5). The gift of the Holy Spirit comes along with tangible signs; tangible because we can’t see the spiritual realm John 4:24 and therefore we need evidence of His presence and more importantly the gifts are to facilitate our work or spiritual assignments as Christians. Joel 2:28, mark 16: 17,18

1 Corinthians 14:1
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

God directs us:

Psalms 16:7

I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel:
my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

One of the things God does is to direct us. The scripture above says when we lay down to sleep at night, God counsels and instruct us. We wake up sometimes with certain thoughts and feelings, we must take them seriously, it could be gods direction for our lives. We match those thoughts and feelings with scripture and sometimes with counsel from or spiritual overseers and we act. 😊

Job 33:15-18

In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falleth upon men,
in slumberings upon the bed;
Then he openeth the ears of men,
and sealeth their instruction,
That he may withdraw man from his purpose,
and hide pride from man.
He keepeth back his soul from the pit,
and his life from perishing by the sword.
