Training workshop held for Scholars of Kusomesa organized by WillWay Africa to build capacity for community transformation. Speakers included - Ing. William Amelorku of Calbank, Festus Addai of International Needs, Canada and Ohene Kwapong of Alpha Engineering.

The Executive Director, Dr. Rebecca Kruisselbrink made a video presentation.

Kusomesa is a Charity organization based in Canada funded by Dr Rebecca Kruisselbrink. The organization works to identify and sponsor enterprising and economically challenged students in Africa to pursue their dream academic program at the University. Kusomesa Education Sponsorship Program (KESP) being managed by WillWay Africa currently has about 21 students offering various programs ranging from Medicine, Engineering, Education among others.

Do you have a business idea and need expert support to turn it into reality?

The SEED and SWITCH-Africa Green is seeking applications for the next round of the Starter Months in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and South Africa.

The SAG-SEED Starter promotes the incubation of new eco-enterprises. Setting up a business is both an exciting and challenging task: Turning an idea into a product or service customers actually want to buy, requires not only a deep-dive into the market, but also business skills and bringing together the right team and partners. Considering all aspect can be challenging, therefore, SEED supports young teams of entrepreneurs with innovative ideas through the SAG-SEED Starter Months.

During the application period for the SAG-SEED Starter Months future eco-entrepreneurs form their teams and come up with their business ideas to tackle one of the main challenges in their country. Under expert guidance the selected teams will come together during two workshops to develop and refine their business ideas.


The overall objective of SWITCH Africa Green is to support 6 countries in Africa to achieve sustainable development by engaging in transition towards an inclusive green economy, based on sustainable consumption and production patterns, while generating growth, creating decent jobs and reducing poverty. The objective will be achieved through support to private sector led inclusive green growth.

The specific objective is to support the development of green businesses and eco-entrepreneurship and use of SCP practices by having in place:

MSMEs and business service providers that are better equipped to seize opportunities for green business development, better informed public and private consumers, enabling conditions in form of clear policies, sound regulatory frameworks, incentives structures, tax, other fiscal and market-based instruments influencing key sector(s) in the 6 African countries.

A three-member team led by David J. Aspinall from Edgbaston Convention Rotary Club, England paid an exploratory fact finding visit to WillWay Africa on Monday, April 24, 2017. A wide range of mutually beneficial issues was discussed. WillWay is grateful to the Rotary Club, Edgbaston Convention for making Ghana a preferred choice for their social developmental projects.

A team from Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) paid a working visit to the office of WillWay Africa on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The purpose of the visit was to establish a working relationship between the two organizations in the area of the provision of fully funded university scholarships for high potential Senior High School graduates who have lost one or both parents.
WillWay Africa team comprised Projects Manager - Deborah Anaglatey, and Executive Director - Ohene Kwapong. The team from AAI were Hector Bagley and Yuka Yamada, the Program Coordinator and Executive Director respectively.
