Iɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄɪɴɢ ᴏᴜʀ sᴘᴇᴀᴋᴇʀs

𝘿𝙧. 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙢 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙚𝙡 serves as a medical consultant to Health Solutions Inc. due to his extensive knowledge and experience as a Renal Transplant Surgeon. Dr. Samuel is originally from St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and maintains a practice in his homeland but works primarily in both the public and private health sectors of Trinidad & Tobago (T&T).

He pursued and obtained his undergraduate training at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica and Cave Hill, Barbados. Following his studies, Dr. Samuel trained in general surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), Barbados; University Hospital, Jamaica and the United Kingdom (1993-97). He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) of England.

𝘿𝙧. 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙚𝙡 returned to the QEH, Barbados and continued his surgical experience as Senior Registrar until 2002 when he returned to the UK for a period of higher surgical training. This he pursued through several hospital appointments including fellowships in breast disease and renal transplantation.

He holds membership of a number of professional organizations including the British Transplant Society and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons andis a Fellow of the Caribbean College of Surgeons.

The Management of HSI is proud to have a ‘son of the soil’ as a consultant and advisor as his passion and dedication to persons with kidney disease and related health issues is reflected in his contribution to the care of the patients at HSI.

Iɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄɪɴɢ ᴏᴜʀ sᴘᴇᴀᴋᴇʀs

𝘿𝙧. 𝙅𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙖 is a molecular epidemiologist and Chancellor’s Fellow, with joint appointment at the Usher Institute and the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine (IGMM), Cancer Research (CR) UK Edinburgh Centre.

She received her PhD in molecular genetics from the State University of New York, Stony Brook and her Master's in Public Health from Columbia University. After postdoctoral training in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) at the National Cancer Insititute (NCI, USA), she was promoted to Investigator and was a fully funded independent researcher at DCEG-NCI from 2008 till 2015 before moving to Edinburgh.

Iɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄɪɴɢ ᴏᴜʀ sᴘᴇᴀᴋᴇʀs

𝘿𝙧. 𝙍𝙖𝙢𝙞 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙗𝙖𝙠𝙝 is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon who has practised in the UK for 22 years. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and has published multiple writings in the field of general surgery.

Throughout his career, he has acquired experience in advanced trauma life support and in 2016 took the position of a faculty member on the Hostile Environment Surgical Training course in Gaziantap, Turkey, teaching surgeons working in war zones around the world.

In 2011, he specialised in oncoplastic breast surgery and has remained in the field since, continuing to broaden his achievements and qualifications by completing a Diploma in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at the University of East Anglia.

Iɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄɪɴɢ ᴏᴜʀ sᴘᴇᴀᴋᴇʀs

𝘿𝙧. 𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙒𝙞𝙖𝙛𝙚-𝘼𝙙𝙙𝙖𝙞 has 30 years experience as a Medical officer in Ghana; thus from 1989 to Date. She has been a Breast Surgeon for the past sixteen years and a consultant in Breast Cancer Management.

Her training and wide scope of study as a specialist Breast Pathologist and a surgeon has placed her at a convenient position as the Chief Executive Officer and the Consultant Breast Surgeon of the Peace and Love Hospitals both in Accra and Kumasi; a specialist hospital that is championing the cause of Breast Cancer and its related diseases in Ghana.

Due to her charisma, Dr. Wiafe Addai is known as a fine role model and inspiration to women and society as a whole and the quest for a unique professionalism as far as patient care and welfare are concerned. She became the first Ghanaian female specialist general surgeon. By God’s grace and her endowed knowledge, hundreds of women have been healed of various diseases through her directives particularly Breast Cancer.

Iɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄɪɴɢ ᴏᴜʀ sᴘᴇᴀᴋᴇʀs

𝘿𝙧. 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝘾. 𝙃𝙞𝙡𝙡 is a renowned physician, researcher and author whose articles have appeared in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Research and the Journal of the National Medical Association, among other publications.

He also serves as Cancer Liaison Physician for the North Florida Division for Commission of Cancer of American College of Surgeons and secretary of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology.
"Being an officer for the Florida Society of Critical Oncology has allowed him to better understand the challenges of cancer patients in Florida, and to help do something about those challenges.”

𝘿𝙧. 𝙃𝙞𝙡𝙡 is also involved with the Society of Surgical Oncology, Society of Black Academic Surgeons, National Medical Association and Orange County Medical Society. A recent appointment: member of the American Cancer Society Volunteer Leadership Board.
