Morning Message of Motivation

Fivefold Office: 15

Even men who stand in the same office can differ greatly in their operations.
John the Baptist was the last of the Old Testament prophets.
Matthew 11:13 NKJV
“For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.”

John indeed was a prophet but his ministry stood on the veracity of his words about Christ because John did not do any miracles.
John 10:41 NKJV
“And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.”

Prophets like Elijah and Elisha were miracle working prophets whose authority rested on their miracles for Elisha was accepted when he parted the Jordan just as Elijah did.
2 Kings 2:14 NKJV
“And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.”

The other prophets of lesser rank came and submitted themselves to Elisha when they saw the miracle.
2 Kings 2:15 NKJV
“And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.”

Other Old Testament prophets were inspired to write Scriptures like Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, but neither Elijah nor Elisha wrote any books.
Luke 4:17 NKJV
“And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:”

Indeed Christ quoted extensively from Isaiah’s writings.
Luke 4:18a NKJV
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted…. ;”
May you operate according to the grace that Christ has given to you. May you shine in your own area, in Jesus name.

Fivefold Office: 14

Every one of the Fivefold Offices operates different from the others although they all serve the same final purpose in the Body of Christ.
There are differences in operation within the same purpose.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6 NKJV
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.”

When Christ arose He gave gifts to men but all did not receive the same gift.
Ephesians 4:7-8 NKJV
“But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says:
“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”

Christ gave five different offices from apostle to pastor.
Ephesians 4:11 NKJV
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,”

The different gifts were ordained to achieve the same purpose I.e. the “Building up of the Body of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:12 NKJV
“for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,”

The different gifts are designed to bring all the different members of Christ’s Body to the same level of maturity.
Ephesians 4:13 NKJV
“till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;“
The Fivefold offices would protect Christ’s Body from deceitful and crafty men.
Ephesians 4:14 NKJV
“that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,”

May we understand and cooperate with God’s plan of unity and growth.
May we grow and mature, in Jesus name.
