🌟 WORKSHOP ROUND-UP 🌟

Our 46th workshop has come to an end, and what an incredible week it has been!

For the past 23 years, we’ve been bringing West End guest teachers to the island twice a year, and it never ceases to amaze us how much our students achieve. After just five mornings of training, the standard of the showcase is always outstanding, and this year was no exception.

Over the years, many of our guest teachers have gone on to teach our students at vocational colleges and even audition them for professional roles. Looking back, we’re so grateful that Catherine and Brian decided to hang up their West End performing shoes and begin this incredible workshop journey all those years ago.

A huge thank you to our guest teacher, David McIntosh, who was truly inspirational and delivered an outstanding workshop. His impressive West End credits include Cats, Oklahoma!, We Will Rock You, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Hairspray, and many more, as a performer, Dance Captain, and Resident Choreographer. We hope to welcome him back again very soon!

Congratulations to all of our students who made us incredibly proud all week and absolutely smashed the super hard shows, choreography and vocals. We hope you had the best time, we certainly did! 💜🌟

🌟 WORKSHOP FUN 🌟

An incredible first 3 days of our workshop, and an incredible 3 groups of students!

Our workshops are all about learning new things, giving it your all and having fun, and they’re certainly doing just that. We are having the best time and we are so impressed with everyone 🤩💜

We have the incredible David McIntosh over teaching our seniors this week and his experience and expertise is second to none. We are so lucky to have him!

🌟 22 PIECES IN THE TOP 10🌟

Now that our 2026 Dance World Cup journey has come to a close, it’s time for us to sit and reflect on the most amazing 11 days of theatre! The pride we feel for our students, our school and our island is next level!

We didn’t realise in the madness of the competition but GATE placed in the top 10 a staggering 22 times! 😱🌟🥹🥰 How incredible is that. To compete against 11,500 competitors and more than 60 countries and walk away with 22 top 10 placings is unbelievable. We are so proud of everyone who stepped onto the world stage in Dublin and we cant believe its all over. Our 22 top 10 placings are as follows:

🌟Amazing news! Ben, Lottie and Eliza have just come 5th in the world for their Song and Dance trio in a category that was for competitors up to 25 years old. An incredible achievement and we are so proud! More points for Guernsey too! Congratulations! 🥳 🌟

These superstars competed in a huge, incredible section yesterday and walked away with 8th in the world and 0.8% off of 6th place! An absolutely incredible achievement, you gave that performance your everything, you held your own in such a tough class and walked away with such an amazing result! 😍🌟

🇬🇬🌟 OUR FIN TAKES 4th 🌟🇬🇬

After placing 2nd in his Song & Dance, our super star Fin has just placed 4th in the world for his ballet solo! Fin is so young in this age group and has absolutely SMASHED IT!

Fin, you are amazing and have made Guernsey so so proud. More country points for our island and another placing. WOW WOW WOW 💚🇬🇬🌟
