I’ve been weight training since I was 13, I’m now 27, for any mathematicians out there…I’ve been training for more of my life than I haven’t. 🙃
Have the last 14 years of training been a walk in the park? F**k no!
I’ve had countless set backs, but I’ve never taken the easy way out, rolled on my back and called it a day. You don’t learn from quitting. You don’t grow from giving it all up after suffering adversity. You need it. It’s part of the game.
It’s a give and take, to see who really wants it.

We discuss how Ngarimu grew up playing lots of different sports and how not being too focused on one sport as a kid aided his full athletic development.
We also had fun discussing some of the CrossFit training he and his team CrossFit Injustice worked on, during the approach to the 2017 Team Games, we also delve deep into the exercises that Ngarimu took to, like a duck to water, as well as having a good laugh over the ones that offered more of a challenge.
Ngarimu and I also converse over how gaining weight doesn’t always positively help performance and regaling personal experience that Ngarimu had in his first 105kg comp for someone that had to bulk up a bit from competing in his usual u90kg conditioning.

Spending a lot more time on the weaknesses and it’s seriously paying off. You can’t make up for working through rep after rep to find your bodies ideal position.
New PB at 70kg 🙌 there is a 75 there but my shoulders were fried after log work 😅
It's pretty simple 🤷♂️ we want to give extra support to our wrist structure when using a wrap. It's not just a bro bracelet.

By not allowing the wrist the range of motion to flex, we can better keep the bar loaded over the middle of the wrist, this gives us the ability to produce more power into the bar without leakage.

Client Spotlight: Lou Brown
Lou, a busy school nurse had been trying to lose weight since she was 30. With what seemed like countless attempts to shift the weight Lou just couldn’t quite put all the pieces of the puzzle together to find any long term success. 📈
Fast forward 26 years later, Lou reached out to me to see if there was anything I could do to “fix this”.
After educating her a little about macros and portion sizing and introducing exercise back into her life, that worked around her list of injuries and ailments. Oh and did I mention fitting in a few drinks at the weekend too?! 🍷
Over the next 24 weeks Lou took all the tools I had given her and went to work! Week after week her diet was on point, workouts aced and step count was forever creeping up.
Fuelled by a new found passion towards exercise and nutrition, Lou has continued to put the tools given to her to good use, now inspiring others by leading the way and showing them a new healthy way to get the weight off and keep it off! 👏
It’s been amazing to watch Lou’s confidence grow over these last few months, with a new sense of achievement and considering she slipped into her first pair of medium leggings on her 56th birthday, i'd be pretty chuffed too!!

Client Liz came to me suffering terrible pain across several points of the body including the knees/ankles/hips, due to a condition she suffers with.
