Welcome to week 7 of "Meet Our Colleagues" This week we are introducing you to Sully, who is the youngest member of THL! Sully works in the Accounts team and has been with us for almost a year.

Hobbies: In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and going for a cycle when the weather is nice.

Favourite Alcoholic Drink: Brandy and pretty much any cocktail.

Favourite Sport: I enjoy watching the snooker.

Pets: I have a cat called Trigger and a lizard called Hawk.

Any party trick?: I can open a fridge with my back, weird I know.

Favourite film: Interstellar

Favourite genre/music: I mostly listen to UK and US rap.

Final Words: “Just keep swimming” - Dory

Our office will be closed on the morning of Monday 25th April due to a staff meeting. We shall all be returning to our desks in the afternoon, to return to our duties.

This weeks "Meet Our Colleagues" we are introducing you to Zac who works in the Accounts team. Zac first started with a summer placement in 2018 and came back after he finished university in 2019, a total of 2 and a half years with THL.

Hobbies: Playing and watching football. I’m a Liverpool fan so it’s been a good year for us this year! When Covid started I also picked up running and have been keeping it up ever since. My aim is to run 5km in under 20 minutes this year.

Favourite Alcoholic Drink: Heineken would be me favourite beer. Sailor Jerry’s Rum with coke for spirits.

Favourite Sport: I watch a lot of sport but Football is the main one for me. I like to watch F1 as well on weekends.

Pets: Elvis the Jack Russell.

Any party trick?: I can complete a rubix cube? Not very exciting I’m afraid.

Favourite film: Snatch.

Favourite genre/music: I listen to a lot of Oasis and Kanye West. Indie rock is my favourite genre.

We like to wish everyone a Happy Easter and an enjoyable bank holiday weekend. Hopefully the sun will stick with us the whole way. An Easter bunny kindly dropped off a few goodies around the office and made us work for our beloved chocolate.

Welcome to Week 5 of "Meet Our Colleagues" This week we are introducing you to Hannah who is our Tax and Accounts Senior. Hannah has been with THL for 6 weeks!

Hobbies: I love the great outdoors, you will usually find me enjoying the outdoors somewhere in Sussex with my partner and our 2 year old daughter. I also enjoy spending time with friends, holidays, building Lego (and Duplo!) and watching Brighton play football. I am currently teaching myself chess and have just started playing tennis.

Favourite Alcoholic Drink: Spiced rum with coke

Favourite Sport: Walking

Pets: A cat

Any party trick?: Sneaking out early whilst no one is looking.

This weeks "Meet Our Colleagues" we are introducing you to Jack who works in the Accounts Team. Jack had a 1 year placement with THL before becoming a permanent member. Overall Jack has been with us for 2 ½ years.

Hobbies: I love playing and watching football, and get up to the Emirates when I can. I play too much Xbox, and enjoy going to the cinema once or twice a week.

Favourite Alcoholic Drink: Whiskey/Disaronno

Favourite Sport: Football

Pets: Cat called Kylo

Any party trick?: I can recite the whole Anakin v Obi Wan scene

Welcome to week 3 of "Meet Our Colleagues"

This week we are introducing you to our Accounts Manager Katarina! Who has proudly served THL for 5 and a half years.

Hobbies - Watching my son Finley play football (I’m the mum shouting at the ref every 2 mins – no shame), talking about how I need to start going to the gym but never actually going, consuming copious amounts of wine with friends.

Favourite Alcoholic drink - prosecco, white wine, cocktails, sambuca, I’ve just discovered baby Guinness and I’m a huge fan!

Favourite Sports - Anything but rugby.

Pets - A very annoying dog called Bertie.

Any party tricks? - Sadly not.

The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak has announced the following from his 2022 Spring statement:

• Fuel duty to be cut by 5p a litre for 12 months.

• VAT to be scrapped on home energy-saving measures such as insulation, solar and heat pumps.

• 1.25% rise in national insurance contributions to remain for health and social care.

• NI threshold is to be increased by £3,000. This equalises National Insurance Contributions threshold with personal allowance to £12,570.

• Increase of the employment allowance to £5,000 for small business.

• Basic rate of income tax will be cut from 20% to 19% in 2024.

• Retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors will have a 50% discount in business rates up to £110,000.

This week we are introducing you to our Payroll & HR Manager Katie! who has been with THL for 7 years and 4 months.

Hobbies - Yoga, Paddle Boarding, Macrame, Crafts, Gigs, Festivals (particularly Glastonbury), Travelling (I have been lucky enough to visit some incredible places like Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam) - basically just having fun!

Favourite Alcoholic drink - Tequila & Tonic, Champagne, Cocktails, Sour Beers & more cocktails!

Favourite Sports - Does talking and dancing count? I'm not a sports person

Pets - Ziggy, a long haired dachshund

Any party tricks? - Voguing!

!! We are proud to support Comic Relief and everything that it stands for. I therefore encouraged my Colleagues to take a photo using a red nose and this was the outcome. Surprisingly, as you can see not everyone owns red pieces of clothing.

Welcome to our first addition to "Meet Our Colleagues" This week we are introducing you to our Managing Director Paul who has been with THL ever since it was born in September 2013!

Hobbies - I am a passionate cyclist and love travelling. Some of the countries I have cycled; Argentina, Chile, Bali, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and France just to name a few. I enjoy racing on my bike and take part in local time trials (on the road) mountain bike races and the odd marathon. I am a bit of a petrolhead housing a sports car and a motorbike, both are window rustlers which I apologies for. I enjoy bright colours and have created a reputation for my shirts and shoes. Travelling to Australia I have scuba dived in the great barrier reef and done a bungee jump in Cairns. If I have any spare time I like to add to my Lego collection which is now taking over the house!

Favourite Alcoholic drink - Expresso Martini/ Jagerbombs

Favourite Sports - Cycling, mountain biking and Cricket

Progress update: unfortunately we are closing the office and returning on Monday. Stay safe.

Due to Storm Eunice, our phone lines and Internet servers are currently down as well as our wheelie bin. We are trying to resolve this and will update any progress.

A big thank you to our client @cjslandscapesltd for bringing in this huge Biscoff triple layer cake and a well done to Iagos Cafe for making such a masterpiece. It is safe to say there are no more pieces left!
