With the situation in the world right now, and for the past couple of years, it is not uncommon to feel burned out. Especially if, like me, you are trying to juggle multiple things on top of the emotional exhaustion.

It is a short chair yoga class for neck and shoulders, that allows you to release tension all around the neck and into the shoulders - there is even a bit of bonus movement in the thoracic area! You can practice this from absolutely anywhere.

This class is for all of you that like a good day of skiing, but it is also great if you cycle or walk a lot. The sequence focuses on relieving tension from the hips down to the toes.

Some of you may know I used to be an alpine skier, so some of these poses come from what has worked for me as well.

Although Savasana is traditionally thought flat on your back, legs extendend, arms by your side with the palms facing up, the reality is that for many people lying flat on their back might not be comfortable. It is a shame to miss out on such a powerful posture if it does not feel accessible to us.โฃ

What can you do instead?โฃ
You can bend your knees and keep the feet flat on the ground and drop the knees in together. You can bring your hands on your belly rather than wide if it feels better for your shoulders. But you don't have to lie on your back; you can lie on your front or even on your side. The options are endless! You can use however many props you want: pillows, blocks, bolster, eye mask...โฃ
