Although Savasana is traditionally thought flat on your back, legs extendend, arms by your side with the palms facing up, the reality is that for many people lying flat on their back might not be comfortable. It is a shame to miss out on such a powerful posture if it does not feel accessible to us.โฃ

What can you do instead?โฃ
You can bend your knees and keep the feet flat on the ground and drop the knees in together. You can bring your hands on your belly rather than wide if it feels better for your shoulders. But you don't have to lie on your back; you can lie on your front or even on your side. The options are endless! You can use however many props you want: pillows, blocks, bolster, eye mask...โฃ
