A taskforce is using good old-fashioned shoe leather to tackle disrepair and help ensure Worthing town centre remains spick and span.
As part of an ongoing programme to maintain the town’s public spaces, and working in partnership with the Town Centre Initiative, officers from Adur & Worthing Councils are making regular checks on foot around the town to identify small signs of distress that can be quickly repaired.

Young people in Adur and Worthing will be given a taste of the career opportunities available to them as part of National Careers Week 2022.
The One Stop Adur & Worthing hub - a joint project between Adur & Worthing Councils and the Department for Work and Pensions - will be running a series of activities and workshops during National Careers Week (7-12 March) to encourage young people to connect with local employers and gain employability skills.

The diggers are swinging into action at Brooklands Park as work to revitalise the popular area gets underway.
As part of an exciting £3 million regeneration project, contractor Blakedown Landscapes has already dug out the perimeter pathway with edging. The entire project is expected to take around a year to complete, but it is hoped the park will then attract more visitors to the area and provide a boost to the economy - as well as being a great day out.

Work has begun on the site after West Sussex County Council gave approval for the road to be permanently closed to traffic.

Two open spaces known as the Goring Gap to the west of the town and Brooklands in the east are considered crucial to protect the integrity of the community and prevent urban sprawl.

Roffey Homes confirmed as preferred developer for Union Place
