Today is the Social Care Day of Reflection and Remembrance 💙

In honour of the amazing dedication shown by our team during Covid-19 we have today paid to plant fifty trees with the organisation @just_one_tree 🌳

We hope this long lasting legacy will make a positive impact for future generations and acts as a way of turning such a difficult time into a new beginning.

A huge thank you to each and every member of Team PDC, the support you and our service partners give really is life changing 💙

As a business co-founded by a woman we have always ensured that women are championed as equally as men within the organisation, and that we continue to push for a fairer society.

We are so proud of all the fabulous women who are such an important part of PDC, not only in our HQ team 🙌 but also the hundreds of fantastic members of our flexible team, who provide such vital support to those who need it 👏

Ian and I have felt so distressed and heartbroken by the devastation we have been witnessing in Ukraine 💔

I know that seeing the awful events of the past few days has affected all of us in the PDC team and we have felt it was important to try to help in any way we could.

After much research Peters Dean Care have made a donation to British Red Cross who are providing food, water, first aid, medicines, warm clothes and shelter to those affected in Ukraine.

What an amazing week of new learning at the Recruitment Agency Expo this week! So many amazing speakers and great to keep on top of the new trends in recruitment and social care. We feel so excited about implementing many new ways of working to keep us at the top of the list of social care recruiters! Thanks to Tania Burrelland Matthew Vokes (sorry no pic!) for joining Ian. Now back to the office to work on our mission to improve the quality of staffing within our partner services!

If anyone understands the demands on staff in social care, it's Szymon! With over 20 years direct care experience within children's residential care homes, SEN-based education, and prison settings, Szymon really has seen it all.

Szymon is utilising this experience within his Recruitment role at Peters Dean Care, being able to decide whether staff are suitable for roles quickly, and using his positive, active approach to help work-seekers get matched to the right care services. Szymon is very friendly and approachable and has a huge desire to help our partner services to improve the quality of their teams.
