Progress is happening towards my dream of working properly with wood and new designed furniture. Workshop design is nearly ready and machinery soon on order. Excited.

From a scratched, worn and tired looking Barrister's bookcase, into a restored 1920s happy smart and finished one.

Sanded, repaired, now added a Danish oil with Jacobean dark oak tint.

Look how the walnut pops.
Love Danish oil.

Should be finished and placed in pride of place this week.

These mid-century dining chairs have been stripped and sanded back, adding Danish oil really pops the grain and colour.

To be upholstered by the amazing Upholster3 ladies.

A local woodmaker, Designs Woodcraft, run by Ben, are having a makers day at their barn near Worthing, West Sussex.

Come along for a day of fun, making things and meeting like minded people.

Going to finish this Ash and walnut solid wood with decorative veneer cabinet soon.
Cabinet shell made, leg frame made to be assembled.
Doors need finishing.
Veneer to be made.
Shelves and divide to be made and installed.
Sanded and a finish to be added.

Not a lot.

Proud.
Relieved.

Learned loads. Now to continue to learn and improve.

Probably made in 1910 to 1920.

Going to look amazing when finished.

Got this beautiful desk into refinish and add a small veneer repair.
