Last week, we invited 20 Trailfinders sales consultants to an evening of brush and bubbles to learn all about our Australian client the G'Day Group.

Whilst agents began their brush and bubbles painting experience, painting Rottnest Islands very own Quokka's, Matt told them all about the many different resorts G'day Discovery Resorts & Parks have to offer, from El Questro, Wilpena Pound and Cradle Mountain, to Rottnest Island which the lucky winner of the best Quokka painting won a two-night stay at!

Matt, Katrina and Sofia from our Trade Team attended Travel Bulletin's Australasia Showcase in Solihull last week, representing our clients Taronga Conservation Society Australia and G'day Group. They trained 35 Midlands-based agents on our wonderful Australia clients, and it was great to see the interest in these products.

Last week, the SLC Representation PR team was invited to two standout events shaping the future of travel and media.

At the Newsweek New Destinations Summit 2025, we joined leading voices including Wanderlust’s Lyn Hughes, YouTube creator Arieh Smith, and Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths. Panels, talks, and networking covered what travellers want, the drive for sustainability, and new tech transforming travel, giving us fresh insight into the UK travel industry’s direction.

At the Sky News x Good Broadcast PR Agency event, Sky News’ Director of Platforms Nick Sutton explored how broadcast content is repurposed for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and Snapchat, opening up new ways for travel PR to bring destinations to life through compelling visuals.

By attending events like these, our team stays informed and ready to help our clients thrive in a fast-changing media landscape.

Kerrin from our SLC team in Australia recently took part in an brilliant FAM trip with Thai Airways to explore the stunning Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts properties across Thailand!

We are delighted to announce that two of our client destinations have been voted as finalists at the Travel Bulletin Star Awards 2025!

Maldives for Star Honeymoon Destination and Dubai for Star Winter Sun Destination.

These award nominations are special for us as they mean agents across the high street, online and home based are championing these destinations by voting for them. The winning destinations will be revealed at a prestigious London ceremony in October - we've got our fingers crossed!

Tourism Australia's 2025 Luxury Getaway ✨

Last week, the SLC team attended Tourism Australia's 2025 Luxury Getaway, representing our Australian luxury clients: Western Australia, G’day Group and Crown Hotels.

Over two days, the team met with 18 fantastic luxury buyers and spent time networking whilst on a boat trip down an idyllic part of the Thames, tasting some of Australia’s finest wines and at an early morning yoga class (well, some of us did!) - all bookended with a stunning Windsor setting and beautiful food.

A fantastic event with lots of new contacts made and opportunities sought - and the SLC team came away energised from glowing buyer feedback about demand for Australian luxury product!

Debra, from our Trade Team, has just returned from an extraordinary visit to catch up with two of our hotel clients in Thailand.

Her first stop was Rayavadee Resort in Krabi, one of Thailand's most exclusive and iconic luxury escapes on the edge of the famous Railay Beach

The second stop was Keemala in Phuket, jungle top tree-houses with private pools it is easily one of the most Instagrammable hotels in the world.

Debra is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for these properties to UK and Irish agents.

We were thrilled to host a pre-screening launch of the series alongside Tourism Australia, in which a selection of media and key stakeholders saw a special screening of a compilation of the series.

The series aired throughout May on ITV, with an episode showcasing the beauty of our client, Western Australia. Gary met friend John Bishop in Perth as the pair toured Fremantle Market and met the friendly quokkas of Rottnest Island.

In May, our Dubai team hosted a table at the Scottish Passenger Agents' Association (SPAA) 70s-themed Summer In the City party in Edinburgh, bringing together 300 agents for a three-course meal, charity raffle, and classic entertainment. It was a great occasion to engage with so many Scottish agents and hear the passion they have for Dubai!

Tourism Western Australia UK recently took part in Australia on Tour UK, visiting Glasgow, Leeds, Cambridge and Brighton. We connected with 140 travel agents and shared what makes Western Australia such a desirable destination. Through a mix of speed dating sessions and presentations, agents gained valuable insights and deepened their knowledge on the state. Alongside nine other suppliers, team TWA utilised the networking time to strengthen relationships with front line sellers. Each evening culminated in an interactive quiz, with an incredible prize up for grabs each night - a mega trip to Australia!

Our PR Director Mala and Junior Account Manager Steph were delighted to attend Square Mile Magazine's 200th edition party at the The Shard London! The night was filled with networking with key media stakeholders and sharing insights about destinations we represent, reconnecting with familiar faces across the industry, great cocktails, and 360 views of London🥂✨
