Great guys. Order yours…..

2015: Ross was unable to find a job.
2016: Still unable to find a job.
2017: Once again, unable to find a job.
2018: No opportunities came his way.
2019: Another year of closed doors.
2020: The job hunt continued… without success.

🤨 Every year felt like a new struggle. No matter how hard Ross tried, the doors were always closed.

2021: Ross and his family became disillusioned, feeling trapped in a cycle where finding a job seemed impossible. That’s when they decided—it was time to create their own opportunity.

2022: With the help of his big brother, Christian Laing, Ross launched Stand Out Socks ✌️🧡🧦—a company built on the belief that everyone deserves a meaningful, paid job.

2023: Stand Out Socks appeared on BBC's Dragons’ Den, securing a £30K investment from two incredible Dragons—Steven Bartlett and Peter Jones.
It was a monumental moment that proved their mission wasn’t just possible—it was needed. (Season 21, Episode 1)

2024: The company now proudly employs four additional individuals with Down syndrome in paid roles at Stand Out Socks. They too had previously faced the same fate—“unable to find a job.” (Including Oliver and Martha, pictured)

2025: Watch this space!

This isn’t just Ross’s story—this is the reality for hundreds of thousands of other individuals who are "unable to get a job."

Well… it’s time for that to change.

The harsh truth: Over 1.5 million people in the UK live with learning disabilities, and a staggering 95% are left without a job opportunity.

Believe us when we say… Stand Out WILL change that.
