You probably know we’re an established first aid organisation delivering regular courses.
We’ve recently had a lot of requests to deliver sessions at guide and scout groups - short evening courses covering basic first aid.
We are looking for a volunteer trainer to deliver these sessions. We’d provide you with training and equipment to deliver these sessions, and ongoing support.
If you’re interested please send us a message or call 07974132166 for more information.
As the sessions are with young people you’d need to be able to pass a DBS check.

We are recruiting!
Heartstart Lymm is a volunteer group delivering first aid training in the community. We run 1-2 courses a month, and have a core team of trainers.
It’s a fun thing to do - everyone who comes on the sessions want to be there, and we get good engagement.
Many hands make things work, and we are hoping to expand the team. This will make running the sessions easier, and also potentially allow us to offer different or additional sessions to more groups.
We can always accommodate more volunteer trainers, ideally someone with a “medical” background or formal first aid qualification.
We also need course assistants - who help with setup, monitor some of the practical sessions and ensure the sessions run smoothly.
There is also a need for a treasurer - we don’t really have an issue with funding, but as a CIC we have to produce simple accounts, and having a treasurer would help keep us on track.
Finally we have opportunities for Duke of Edinburgh volunteers. Helping set the course up and assist with the running is something that can meet the requirement of any level. The only issue around this is that parents would need to arrange travel to and from Safety Central, with the sessions running 6.45-10 on a school night. (potential for a slightly earlier finish, but there is a minimum time requirement for the award). Due to child protection issues we can’t offer lifts ourselves. Sharing lifts is of course fine.
If you’re interested drop us a message, or call Graham on 01925 751599 for a chat.
