An acoustic singers', poets and musicians' session - mostly run by Geoffrey Bibby. All welcome. This is on almost every Sunday night from 20.30 until 23.00.
It is NOT a folk club, as we have a wide variety of musical tastes, but there is, obviously, quite a lot of what people think of as folk music played and sung. Generally, it is £1 to join in, whether you are a performer or just an enthusiastic listener. At a few times through the year, we invite "guest" performers and pay them! A reminder to all; this Sunday evening is a guest night at the Bulls Head. We have Pelican Babies playing and singing for us, supported by our regulars. There will be a charge for entrance as they have to earn enough to live on, but it will most likely be £5 per head - a lot less than the Oasis tickets and, in my opinion, a much better sound.

Just over two hours until tonight's Singers' night begins. As usual, performers and audience all welcome to come along for a while or the whole session.
Beginning at 8.30 pm this evening a relatively normal singers' night (not that any of my relatives are normal!).
In the Bulls Head Function room for some extremely varied live, acoustic music and song.
Just three hours until our usual Singers' Night. Singers, musicians, poets, dancers etc performing for friends - no pressure. Audience members also just as welcome; we need someone to listen and. maybe, join in at times if you want to.
The Bulls Head on Church Street is a very welcoming venue with a good choice of drinks and we "inhabit" the function room at the back of the pub, accessible with prior notice.

As expected, we had a superb night's music and song from Barbara and Gordon, ably supported by our own Geoff and Brian.
Lots of raffle prizes (I didn't win :( ) and White Rat on the pump.

Just a reminder;
At 8.30pm tomorrow evening, we shall be welcoming our guest musicians for June - Gordon Tyrrall and Barbara Mainland.
We ran out of seating last month, so don't be late!

Apologies for the lack of a report on last week's session, but I was "medically inconvenienced". This evening will see the return of Dave and Ray (not the Kinks - just the Cranks!) with the same old rubbish to make everyone else sound better - someone has to do it ;)
All welcome in the Bulls Head Function Room where we will endeavour to drown out the Neighbourhood Weekender just over the fields.
