This is a friendly and supportive environment to share ideas and support each other in exploring photography.

Second Year students visit Fletcher Fernie Photography in Manchester - many thanks Julie for a fab session!
the Competition deadline has been extended to Friday 11th April!
Thanks to those who submitted images, however I was really surprised that only four people did! I realise there are several deadlines for assessed work at present so have extended the competition deadline in light of that.
This is an opportunity to have your work exhibited and to make the case for gallery space on campus - (as well as potentially win some prizes!)
If you have already submitted images you can avail of this extra time to send more in for consideration
The theme is looking at Belonging which can incorporate belonging as a student, being on Warrington campus, belonging in the sense of sharing ideas, interests, time out… however you want to approach this!
Email reduced sized jpeg images to me at [email protected]
A panel will select images for display in the library, so also consider how the images might look in that environment in terms of how a panel may make selections!
Good luck -
Countdown to deadline for Photography Competition!

Send your images to me at [email protected]

L5 Digital Photography Students, Michelle Botham and Cathy Lynn-Jones have an exhibition on at Fairfields Centre in Warrington for a further week. The opening took place on Thursday 27th Feburary, and attracted University staff, students and many users of the community centre who featured in the photographs.
The students were working on a client brief assignment and were so enthused by the project and activities in the centre they produced an exhibition and fund raising event for the finale.
Thanks to the student efforts and Tombola contributions from the students themselves as well as some of the University staff they raised £40 towards the centres activity funds. Ian Smith the centre manager stated that he was 'more than impressed, that they went beyond what was asked of them. Moreover that they showed initiative and motivation in how they conducted themselves.'
Well done Cathy and Michelle!
Open to all
