On the other hand, stomach sleeping can cause neck strain and worsen spinal misalignment, which may lead to chronic neck pain (British Chiropractic Association, 2023) š„.
However, there is no perfect sleeping position. Each has its positives and negatives, and the best choice depends on your unique health needs and comfort. š While one position may benefit you in one way, it could cause discomfort or aggravate another condition, so itās all about finding what works for you! š

Most people get a diagnosis of arthritis and then start to avoid any movement to prevent the pain, however the best thing you can do is build strength in the right areas. Building strength, improving mobility leads to improved function which can slow down the process of deterioration.
