Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival
Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival - A Community event Christmas festival where the village is transported back to a Bygone Era in
Dickensian times.
Various stalls, procession, flotila, etc. A great day for the family
Thank you to everyone who came to our Dickensian debrief last week, it was so lovely to see you and great to get your feedback!
We love putting on this event and showcasing our gorgeous village, it really is such an amazing event to be involved in 😀
The big thing that came out in the debrief was that we need more volunteers to help run this (and all of the other events in the village) safely. The reality is that without volunteers these events simply cannot take place.
Anyone who can give time to help us organising, maybe coming down to help set up the village on the day, or simply marshalling the parade to ensure everyone's safety, please do get in touch! We'd love to hear from you.
If you are unable to help with Dickensian Day, but would like to volunteer for the other Lymm events (Lymm May Queen, Lymm Historic Transport Day, Lymm Festival,The Duck Race, Carols from the Cross to name but a few!), please message us and we will pass your details on.
Thanks again!

Morning - just a little add on to my post yesterday, I knew I’d forget someone (I was very tired! 🤪)
A huge, huge thank you to those who gave up their time yesterday to marshal the parade!
We struggle every year to get enough volunteers and the reality is we would not get permission to put on the event without you, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
See you all next year?? 🤪🤪🙏🙏

What an amazing day!
Too many people to thank so if we miss anyone please forgive us!
*Thank you to our amazing sponsors Kids Planet Lymm, Lymm Veterinary Surgery and Lymm Parish Council
*Thank you to Lady Morrison Photography for the assistance with the grotto, as well as Kids Planet for lending us your elves!

*Thank you to Lymm Youth & Community Association Ltd for their hospitality to all of the marshals and to Domino's Pizza for the pizzas for the helpers
*Thank you to Primrose Hill Nursery for the Best Dressed Prize donation.

*And finally, thank you to everyone who turned up and made this such an awesome day! We hope you all enjoyed it, see you next year!

And well done to Naz on being voted the Best Dressed Window! Ok, not technically a window display but we couldn’t let this go unnoticed-we think it’s awesome!

Congratulations to the voted best dressed person, Rebekah Chapman (I think she was a little surprised looking at her face 🤣)
Apparently she was up until late last night making her costume! We think it’s amazing 😁😁
