New Zumba instructor, started Tuesday mornings Laura
is yoga still starting tomorrow night
Whether your a regular exerciser or looking to challenge and push yourself especially with the summer months fast approaching if you haven't invested in the myzone band then your missing out!!!

I use mine mainly at home due to commitments with young children but also in the gym.
It keeps me linked in the gym community on the app to so I can see what everyone else is doing.

I've just received my first full month breakdown for May which I think is fantastic to review and see how many calories I've burnt and where my training zones have been!
Had 1 cancellation for tonight's class at 8pm!! Any takers???? 👍🏻
Kids fitness class is back on tonight guys! Come along and give it a go!
Fab class last night guys! Everyone worked so hard and I can see you picking up some of the routines now 👊🏻

When it's cold and rainy and your sofa seems a lot more comfortable, managing to get to the gym 3 days a week is absolutely brilliant 💪

So a massive shoutout to EVERYONE who is consistently coming to the gym.

You're all doing great!!

Getting started in the Gym

Most people don't know where to start when they walk through the doors of a new Gym.

So they walk on the treadmill for a bit, grab a dumbbell, do some bicep curls then grab a Protein Shake and head home.

That's why most people don't get the results they want.

Others get as far as having an induction, then forget it all, walk on a treadmill, do some bicep curls and then grab a Protein shake and head home.

As a Gym Goer, you must be aware, and regularly working on the 5 key exercises.

There's sooo many more, but if you can master these 5, the results, enjoyment and progress will come.

Donkey kicks are great for both stability and toning, Ray says. They target your gluteus maximus — the largest of your three glutes muscles, and the bulk of your b***y. They also work your core and shoulder muscles, since your entire body has to remain stable while your leg lifts.

For a 16 stone PT, a deadlift of 50kg is rather low.

But dead lifting a super heavy weight isn't great for you when you have minor imbalances in your body.

For me, my core isn't as strong as it needs to be based on the size of my back and legs.

Have you noticed that your left side may be stronger than your right?

Your front may be stronger than your back?

Or you may have big strong legs and no arm strength.

In the big Gyms, lots of people get into dick swinging contests where they load the bar too much and end up wiggling rather than lifting the bar. It's funny to watch after you've finished cringing.

But with a bit of common sense, a good Personal Trainer and a Gym free from Dick Swingers and Seat Sniffers you can comfortably and quickly address your imbalances and push your progress.

PT sessions here start from a tenner a session and there's 6 of us to work with.

So what's your biggest Gym weakness / imbalance that you need to work on???
