The highlight for them was all the police bikes zooming along with lights & sirens blaring.
Come on England! 🏴🏴🏴🏴
COME ON ENGLAND from all at Little Penguins 🥳🥳
Meet the youngest member of our penguin family.
Babies love exploring & feeling different textures by using their hands & their mouths. Soon Harrison will be able to roll over on his own & reach out for objects.
Gabriel loves looking through his file, especially at the pictures of when he was a baby & first started in nursery 😀
Soft play encourages motor devopment as children can work on stepping, climbing, jumping, crawling & rolling without the fear of injury.
How can we forget football? The children really enjoyed this activity. Lots of interaction & taking turns was observed ⚽️
It's a farm day! Some of our children have visited the farm & the zoo over the last few weeks so we brought a little bit of animal fun to the nursery 🐄🐃🐖🐥
Ice cream, Ice cream cold & sweet,

A few activities our little ones enjoyed last week.
Pencil control, picture bingo, fine motor skills & hand eye coordination by picking up the peas & putting them in the tub, bug hunting & learning about parts of their body.
No need for expensive resources for children to have fun. 😀
Little ones love role play. These two young ladies were "having lunch in the works canteen" then back home to "feed the baby"
Our children have been learning about keeping our teeth clean. They spoke about food that make our teeth "happy" & food that make our teeth "sad" .
Healthy teeth are happy teeth 😁
A happy little penguin showing us how it's done. 💃
The children played alphabet bingo which encourages letter recognition & taking turns. Lots of different speech & language was observed between the children.
Dry rice was a hit with some of the little ones.
They explored its texture by letting the grains run through their fingers & filling & pouring from containers.
Another fun filled week in Penguin land 🐧
As Spring approaches the children enjoyed a painting activity which involved our lovely daffodils. We talked about Spring, all the pretty colours & new life. The children were able to experience how the flowers opened up from buds the day before, and turning into beautiful flowers. They spoke about the sun & water & what helped the flowers to bloom.
Colour mixing supports the children's personal, social & emotional development by providing opportunities to show curiosity, develop new skills, develop confidence & make choices. 🌻🌼🌷⚘
The children engaged in lots of water play today.
It gave opportunities to develop fine & gross motor skills, problem solve & use their imagination. Lots of language was used...wet, cold, splash, pour, fill, float. As well as taking turns with the fishing rod.
Lots of laughter & fun with the balloons 😀
The children used their fine motor skills which strengthen the muscles in their hands, fingers & wrists. Painting helps creative development & stimulates the children's brain whilst experimenting mixing the colours.
Gross motor skills were used by jumping, dancing, catching & waving the balloons.
Our 'penguins' always have lots of fun.
