Trigger Point Techniques
🔹Technique I: local compression of a trigger point
🔹Technique II: local manual stretching along the taut band where multiple trigger points are located, as well as adjacent parts of the taut band.

Fascia Release Techniques
🔸Technique III: broad manual release of the connective tissue and fascia around the trigger point (e.g.of the latissimus dorsi muscle👇)
🔸Technique IV: manual release of the connective tissue and fascia between two muscles (intramuscular mobilization) (e.g. of the biceps femoris muscle👇)
A Trigger Point (TrP) is a ''HYPERIRRITABLE'' spot, a palpable nodule in the taut bands of the skeletal muscles' fascia. Direct compression or muscle contraction can elicit jump sign, local tenderness, local twitch response and referred pain which usually responds with a pain pattern distant from the spot.
💥💥Causes - Usually, TrPs happen due to:💥💥
⚡️Injury sustained by a fall, by stress or birth trauma.
⚡️Lack of exercise - commonly in sedentary persons between 27,5-55 years, of which 45% are men,
⚡️Bad posture - upper and lower crossed pattern, swayback posture, telephone posture, cross-legged sitting,
⚡️Muscle overuse and respective micro trauma - weightlifting,
⚡️Chronic stress condition - anxiety, depression, psychological stress trauma,
⚡️Vitamin deficiencies - vitamin C, D, B; folic acid; iron;
⚡️Joint problems and hypermobility.

My name is Olga Witkowska. I am Graduate Sport Rehabilitator (GSR) at University of Bolton. During my four years BSc (honor)Sport Rehabilitation course, I was fortunate to gain various experience across professional and semi – professional football, Rugby League Clubs, Basketball such as Warrington Wolves Rugby League, Bury Football FC and KK Anwil Wloclawek Poland and many more. I took a part of the assorted sport events such as Ironman, Hell of Hill etc. Also, I gained experience in Sport & Spinal Injury Clinic at Bolton and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. These involvements taught me more about manual therapy, electrotherapy and exercises prescription.
I am concentrating on understanding, preventing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and sports and exercise-related injuries. I am focus to help people suffering from pain, injury or illness involving the musculoskeletal system. I help people of all ages to maintain their health and fitness, recover from and prevent injury and reduce pain using exercise, movement and manual based therapeutic interventions.
