The funeral of Her Majesty the Queen will be taking place on Monday 19th September and this has been designated a Bank Holiday. In order for as many people, including our staff, to mark the funeral the practice will be closed. Staff will be contacting patients to rebook any appointments that have already been made for that day.
If you are unwell and need medical advise or treatment on the bank holiday, please contact NHS 111 (www.111.nhs.uk or call 111) so you can be signposted to the right service for your needs.
Please ensure you have ordered any repeat prescriptions in good time.
If you're in crisis and need to talk there are a number of helplines staffed by trained people ready to listen. They won't judge you, and could help you make sense of what you're feeling.

Shout. If you would prefer not to talk but want some mental health support, you could text SHOUT to 85258. Shout offers a confidential 24/7 text service providing support if you are in crisis and need immediate help.
If you feel that you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call the police on 999 or visit your local A&E department.

Please note that Causeway Medical Centre & Great Sankey Health Centre will be closed on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th December 2022. We will reopen as normal on Wednesday 28th December
2022.
If during this time you require medical advice or treatment you can:
Visit your pharmacy. Your local pharmacy can provide confidential, expert advice and treatment for a range of common illnesses and complaints. Opening times for local Pharmacies can be downloaded or you can visit NHS Choices.
Access NHS 111. To access the service online simply visit https://111.nhs.uk/ and enter your age, s*x, postcode and main symptom, and then you will be guided through a series of questions about your health problems.
To access the service via phone, simply dial 111 from any mobile or landline
free of charge and you will be put through to an operator who will run through
a few questions regarding your health problem in order to get you the right
care.
A&E or 999. For a genuine medical emergency including; loss of consciousness, acute confused state and fits that are not stopping, persistent and or/severe chest pain, breathing difficulties, severe bleeding that cannot be stopped call 999 or go to your nearest A&E.
Get help for your symptoms - NHS 111 Parts of the NHS will be on strike on 15, 20, 21 and 28 December. Urgent care services are likely to be very busy with longer waiting times than normal. Help will always be available in an emergency.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious Practice Nurse to join our team at Causeway Medical Centre, Warrington, Cheshire. The hours and days are flexible however you will be expected to work one Saturday every other month.
We are a practice with 2 sites and a population of 9200, and growing.
We have 2 partners, 2 salaried doctors and currently 2 nurses (although one retiring) and a Health Care Assistant.
We are part of Central and Weat Warrington PCN and have attached roles such as Paramedic, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, MSK Practitioners and Care Co-ordinators who all work together to support and give our patients the best possible care.
The successful candidate should ideally be experienced in Primary Care with key skills to include management of all long term conditions, (inc diabetes) childhood immunisations and cervical cytology with a focus on delivery of the highest quality care to our patients.
