The goal of taking 10,000 steps per day is a widely recognised benchmark for physical activity, it’s often recommended as a target for people looking to increase their level of daily exercise and improve their overall health. This number is based on the idea that the average person takes around 5,000 steps per day, and that 10,000 steps is an achievable goal that can be accomplished through regular, moderate physical activity.
Reaching the 10,000 step goal can provide several health benefits, such as:
Increased cardiovascular fitness
Improved muscle tone and strength
Increased calorie burn, which can help maintain a healthy body weight
Reduced risk of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers
Improved mood and reduced stress.
It’s important to note that the 10,000 step goal is a general guideline and the optimal amount of daily steps may vary depending on individual factors such as fitness level, and health conditions. Some people may not be able to reach 10,000 steps per day due to physical limitations, and that’s okay, the important thing is to find a level of activity that works for you and gradually increase it as you become more physically fit.

Interesting… But how does it work?

The therapist takes your history in an in-depth consultation, localises the painful region by assessing you and discusses the findings with you. A skin gel is then applied to the painful area to allow the shockwaves to be introduced into the body without any loss of energy. After these preparations, shockwaves are applied as the therapy head is moved over the pain region in a circular motion.

How long does it take?

The kidneys are a pair of organs located in the lower back that play a crucial role in the body's overall health and well-being. They help to filter waste and excess fluids from the blood, which are then eliminated from the body as urine. Water is essential to the proper function of the kidneys because:
It helps to keep the kidneys well hydrated, which is necessary for their filtering process
It helps to dilute the concentration of waste and other substances in the urine, making it easier for the kidneys to filter them out
It helps to flush out toxins and waste products from the kidneys and urinary tract, which can reduce the risk of infection and other complications
Adequate water intake can decrease the risk of kidney stones
The water intake also control the blood pressure, the kidney regulate the blood pressure by controlling the amount of water and sodium in the body
When the kidneys don't have enough water to work with, they can't function as effectively. This can lead to a build-up of waste products in the blood, which can damage the kidneys over time and also affect the other organs in the body. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day is essential for maintaining optimal kidney health.
