A lovely autumn day yesterday starting with a walk and nature hunt at the park with friends ๐Ÿ˜Š
Looking, talking, sharing and moving around โ€ฆ lots of laughter and exciting things to find!

Followed by playing with our home made play dough, which worked a treat ๐Ÿ˜Š the children have done a great job with it and enjoyed playing with what they made

Nature tots was lovely as always, beautiful weather!

We listened to a story, made clay bowls and found glittery pinecones, we played on the hammock, did a bug hunt and found newts!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
We made a log pile and ran around!!

Lots of fun learning outside

We have made bags to take home for collecting interesting items when out on walks with family, such as leaves, conkers, sticks and feathers

We have enjoyed conker rolling and counting

Going on walks to find items to make pictures with, make leaf men, count and look at sizes.
We had lots of fun out even in the rain!!

Lots of great discussions ๐Ÿ˜Š

We have enjoyed various things this week but it hasnโ€™t included the RAIN !!
Itโ€™s not just rained itโ€™s poured ๐Ÿ™„

Weโ€™ve enjoyed making rainy day pictures, autumn collection bags, messy play with foam, weโ€™ve been the shops to see the Halloween displays and get more paint.
Weโ€™ve been to nature tots we enjoyed listening to the stick man story, we made our own stick man with sticks and clay, played in the hammock, did a bug ๐Ÿœ hunt and played hide and seek.
โ€œ1,2,3 weโ€™re over hereโ€

Lovely week of fun and learning

We read one of our favourite stories super worm ๐Ÿ› , made our own worms, dug in the mud, played hide and seek ( 1,2,3 weโ€™re over here ๐Ÿ˜Š) and built a den!
Found a held a worm and found a newt ๐Ÿ˜

Great to see familiar faces, meet new friends and get messy ๐Ÿ˜œ

A lovely start to Autumn activities this week, with walks to find conkers talking about how they fall, when and how to open them. Looking at the spikes and the texture of the conkers inside.

Weโ€™ve played with a fabulous tuff tray today, with our findings, making faces and exploringโ€ฆ we found a baby snail ๐ŸŒ we talked about him and put him somewhere safe ๐Ÿ˜Š and looked at letter recognition.

Lots of child led play โ˜บ๏ธ

Such a busy day!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Playing at our friends in the garden Claire Wilkinson

Then back to get sorted and some had a brief snooze, to head out again to watch Tour of Britain come through kingsway.

Wonderful experience watching the police motorbikes, support cars and of course all the bikes, they went so fast!!

We had a play on Bruche park, then back to mine for a chill before home time

Fabulous learning day ๐Ÿ˜Š

Wow itโ€™s been warm !!! ๐ŸŒž

Weโ€™ve been out to feed the ducks ๐Ÿฆ† today and played in the garden this afternoon

We found a toad, ๐Ÿธ so we made him a wooden shelter and a water play area of his own ๐Ÿ˜Š. The children enjoyed finding things to make it more like home like mud, stones and shells

We have had a really fun day today at Risley Moss with the sheets I created to find the statues and play with our friends ๐Ÿ˜Š
Followed by a lovely afternoon playing in the garden.

But ended in sadness as we said a fond fair well to one of our little friends, leaving for preschool.
Itโ€™s been an absolute pleasure being his childminder, we shall miss him dearly but feel lucky that he can see us in the holidays and when picking up his brother!
He will be amazing ๐Ÿคฉ at preschool and Iโ€™m sure theyโ€™ll grow to love him as much as I / we do โค๏ธ

Thank you for my amazing gifts, I especially love my hand crafted gift ๐Ÿฅฐ

School holidays and lots to do!

We are happy to have our friends back, who due to covid restrictions could not attend. Fabulous they are now back ๐Ÿ˜Š

We have been to Woolston park, Bruche park, Longbarn park, loving the play areas as well as some good walks and running down hills!!
Fed so many ducks ๐Ÿฆ† itโ€™s hard to say how many!!

We have been colouring in, playing in the garden and today made clay animals. Once they are dry we will paint them ๐Ÿ˜œ

This week we have been to Risley Moss for a fabulous nature walk and to Longbarn park to feed lots and lots of ducks and have a go on the play area ๐Ÿ˜€

Yesterday on our late afternoon walk at Bruche, we found a hedgehog that needed our help! So together we bundled him up and a helpful parent rushed him to the local vets ๐Ÿคž hope they can help him.
A super, impromptu, learning activity about hedgehogโ€™s and lovely to see how much the children cared and wanted to help.
There were four boys on bikes too, rushing around to fetch the hedgehog water ๐Ÿ˜Š lovely lads we didnโ€™t know, trying their best to help.
Community pulling together!!
