Busy day visiting friends and enjoying the October sun 🌞 in the garden.
It was so warm!!
Leaf creativity today, just putting leaves and craft items out to see where imagination takes us.
Wonderful use of colour and great scissor practice.
Lots of stories read today and building with our den set
Autumn walks and crafting 😊
Lovely time of year 🍂
I survived !!
Baking with 4 children 😜
We had a great time talking about measurements, ingredients and safety.
Oh the mess that we made with eggs, the flour and icing sugar 🤦♀️ 😂
But they took turns amazingly, laughed, washed hands about 50 times and created lovely cakes for their mummies, daddies and siblings 😊
We all enjoyed the Nature tots group that I run this week.
All about Autumn
We read a story, hunted out well hidden autumn pictures, of what to expect to happen.
We made leaf monsters
And had fun pretending to build a camp fire and find interesting things, like conkers, leaves, sticks and feathers, that we all shared after our story.
Lovely to see children enjoying nature, interested in what’s around them and showing off their great imaginations 😊
Thank you Ma’am 💕
We are saddened by the News of the passing of our Queen
We feel very lucky to have received a letter from her following our jubilee pictures this year and will treasure it.
Today we talked about her passing, what she’s done in her lifetime and our new King.
We paid our respects at the Town Hall laying flowers and I wrote in the condolences book.
Saddened to here the news.
Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth ll

Back after a wonderful two weeks away 😊 all refreshed
Hope everyone’s well, looking forward to seeing all my little friends next week 😊💕
Grateful of the cooler weather this week 😁
Today we have made jelly fish, cut out interesting pictures from animal magazines to make a collage, played with lots of various toys and had a visit from a little (not so little now!!) friend 😊
Reminder I’m closed tomorrow and as from Friday for two weeks
This week I thought we’d need lots of water play 🥵
so I thought we could have a sea creature 🐬 theme 💦
With some firm favourites added in 😊
We will need this week:
* several changes of loose, thin, light coloured clothing
* a towel
* swimwear / water shoes or flip flop type / crocs
* sun hat and sun cream
Lots of shade, indoor play, ice pops, cool variety of drinks, fans and spray bottles at the ready!
A hose pipe ready if needed 😜😂 💦
Lunches can just be sandwiches, fruit and yoghurts that will be put straight in the fridge as usual.
I’ve snacks in.
A lovely stroll after the rain stopped, talking about the type of trees and shrubs at our local park, when the blackberries will be ready, brooks and how dangerous water is, what we shouldn’t eat, where the birds build nests
We looked at road signs and what letters we recognised and why we have signs.
What type of houses we could see.
We learn always about crossing the road, stop, look and listen.
All the day to day important learning.
In the garden we looked at maths counting and matching patterns.
Built train tracks and bridges
We played with the mud kitchen and ride on vehicles
And much more!
Lovely visit to Speke hall
Sparking all kinds of conversations about shadows / shade, rockets, planets and outer space and how fruit and vegetables grow.
We watched two bee hives, tried fresh blackberries, enjoyed looking at the vegetable growing garden and enjoyed seeing and smelling all the beautiful flowers.
We had a picnic lunch, played on the two play areas and completed the giant trail
We went out this morning and came back to three out!!! 🦋
Always the same, very sneaky 😂 !!
We’ve put in some sugar water and strawberries 😋
The colours of the wings are coming through on 3, 🤞 keeping a close eye on them today 😊 🦋
Roasting hot day!!
Plenty of water 💦 play, paddling pool out, playing inside too, to keep us cool!
We have had a chill watching tv too as everyone was tired.
Summer house, two gazebo’s and the house, fully used.
Love how the children help me to set up and move around the gazebo’s as the sun moves 😊 perfect little helpers!
Super exciting to watch the caterpillars and care for them at our homes!!
Not long to go 😬
The weathers beautiful and we’ve had lots of water play today and creativity
Plus so much more
Enjoying the sunshine and our nature tots session about Spiders!!! 🕷
It’s all about water play 💦 this week to keep us cool, we have the large gazebo up to shade us 🌞
So much going on
Our caterpillars have arrived 😊 last Thursday and they are already very big!! 🐛🦋
We have a new water play feature that we made over the weekend, which is great fun !! 💦
We have been to Dunham Massey for a lovely walk, saw lots of fallow deer, 🦌 a few baby bunnies 🐰 up close, watched a swan 🦢 cross the park to swap ponds and rescued a ducking 🦆 by finding a park keeper and being observant.
And creating lots of craft for a special day coming up 🤫
We are really enjoying the warmer weather 🌞
They are on their way 🙌
Very excited 😊
Everyone will take turns, taking the caterpillars home to look after 🐛 🦋
Every box and every item thoroughly explored today! Lots of outdoor fun.
We even fitted in a visit to the pet shop, bought food for the gecko’s and enjoyed watching them eat their lunch 🦎 on return!!
Busy Sunday after my holiday, preparing our new play places in my garden 😊
My new little playroom and our club house with fancy dress and emotion exploration
They are a big hit ❤️
Now to work on my home !!! Happy that my work / play place is up to scratch 😜
We’ve had a fun few days and we’ve not let the rain dampen it!!
Playing in the new outdoor playhouse which the children have named “the club house” 😊
Playing baddies and police on the ride on vehicles and being mechanics!!
But today was one of our little friends last day 😢
He is the most adorable little boy, charming, fun, chatty and he made us all smile 😃 we will all miss him lots.
It’s so hard when it’s time to move on.
Thank you for choosing me and thank you for your lovely energy and enthusiasm every single day.
We all wish him and his family the very best 💝
Last Thursday we enjoyed a story time session at the library involving lots of counting and subtraction.
In the afternoon a couple of the children made their Jubilee crowns 😊
Friday we had a lovely stroll around the local l park, reflecting on our busy week
Hope everyone’s having a fabulous weekend.
Our nature tots session today was all about the beach 🏖
On the way there we stopped to look at letters we recognised on a road sign, we knew A, R, E, N and H
What we see, how to keep safe, the RNLI, activities we can do there.
We had stones, that were collected from the beach, to paint. We looked at their size and shapes they looked like!
We looked at shell’s from the beach, discussing how they felt and what shapes they are. Everyone chose one to take home!
We discussed safety at the beach such as staying with our adults and sun safety.
We shared stories of our beach visits and holidays we are going to take 😊
We read a story ‘sharing a shell’
Found hidden beach pictures.
Played hide and seek, had races running and hopping!!
A really busy active nature tots session 😊💛
On the walk home we noted our legs were tired and our tummies rumbling 😋
Lovely few days 😊
Visiting a garden centre. The one we went to was a child’s choice, he’d been to a good one with his Nana and Grandad, he told me “everyone will like it there” so we went and he was right, everyone had great fun!
We enjoyed buying plants for our large pots, looking at all the different colours, enjoyed the water features and the aquatic centre.
Today we have been to story time, all about moving things listening to stories and singing.
Carrying on from our season theme, we have painted some flower pictures today.
We have had the tent out, our chalk boards and the usual ride on vehicles and mud kitchen.
The children have used their imagination well in play today, riding around on police motorbikes and car ambulances. They’ve played doctors, helping each other when hurt, made me great cups of tea 😁 and played hide and seek!
Flexible, supportive, happy environment.

Lots of garden play and making new scrap books for things we are learning daily.
Great fun 🤩
Sadly our weekly nature tots sessions with Cheshire wildlife trust are not in our area at the minute.
So I’ve devised my own !! 😊
Our first session held today with two fellow childminders.
It was lovely to see everyone, see how engaged everyone was and how much fun we had.
Our first session was about trees 🌳
Held at our local park we:
Read a story (with help from Bodger the Badger!)
Discussed who needs trees and why we must protect them
Found hidden animal cards
Discussed tree sizes
Measured trees and measured ourselves against trees
We made a tree collage from what we found around us
We discussed the roots, trunk and crown of a tree.
We sat and watched, listened, ran around and had lots of fun 😊

Lovely first day open in our new home and the gardens been a huge hit! The sun did help 😊
Water play, a water fight (they were scarily accurate!! I was soaked 😂)
Drawing, they loved their new individual clipboards, so we can draw anywhere in the garden or when out, one little one went off to draw a flower 😊🌺
Riding on the push alongs motorbike car and tractor plus racing them.
Mud kitchen play
Counting, learning colours and lots of chatter!!
And generally having lots of fun with our friends 😊
Learning through play
We have moved and finally settled in our new home 🏡 😊
I have enjoyed seeing everyone for their little pre- visits and look forward to opening up on Thursday.
Lots of fun planned 😊💜
We took our initial letters off the wall from our alphabet display and our favourite animal stickers from our tree display 😊
Plus we said bye to our giant resident who scared me silly 😂😱
Well here we are, move week and I’m excited and scared !!
I’ve built my business at my current house, through rough and smooth, welcomed Ofsted in and worked hard.
But nothing compares to the memories, the children I’ve cared for here ❤️ the laughter and the tears. We built this business together.
I will miss this big garden and my summer house 😢
Onwards and upwards to our new home, new memories 😊
Thank you to everybody for your support as we make this big change and we will see you for your little visit before reopening. 🥰
Have a lovely break everybody 💖 xx
