💫 Microblading v Machine 💫

I’m often asked what’s the difference between microblading and the machine?

Both methods implant pigment into the top layer of the dermis (skin), and both methods are classed as tattooing

Microblading is the term used to describe a hand tool with a configuration of tiny needles attached to the end of it. Small channels are created to allow pigment to be delivered into the skin. The ‘manual’ method

The Machine method involves using a device more like a traditional tattooing machine to implant the pigment, where the needles dip in and out of the skin hundreds of times per second to deposit the colour

We can create beautiful hair strokes and shading with either tool, but some skins are more suited to one over the other. It’s our job to use our knowledge and experience to select the best tool for the clients desired end result ❤️

Hair stroke brows are without doubt my #1 requested treatment. Tiny imitation strokes are implanted to replicate and blend with the natural hair - leaving small spaces between the strokes results in a defined yet soft healed brow with added depth and texture 🙌🏼

A little up date on my return to work ❤️

Apologies to those still awaiting a response - my little boy was born Monday 12th April by c-section - he didn’t get the memo that Boris was reopening the brow world that day!

I will not be accessing work messages until I am fully recovered, so thank you so much for your patience whilst I take a short break. Layna King Beauty is ready to look after any HD Brow clients in the interim.

Sadly due to being placed in Tier 4, all appointments are currently on hold. I will not be rescheduling anything until we have further guidance on when this may be lifted. I will be in touch to reschedule in the order of bookings/appointments once I have more clarity.

After a manic 3 days, I’d just like to say a massive THANK YOU to all of my customers old and new that have kept me busy since we reopened in August. For being so flexible with moving appointments forward and some back. Your support to a small business like mine means the absolute world 🌎

Whilst I will be out of clinic for 4 weeks (🤞🏻) in line with government guidelines, I will still be taking enquiries/bookings and telephone consultations. De ja vu. What can I say; at the 11th hour we’ve had the rug pulled from beneath us, once again.

I am so sorry - this is breaking the hearts of many of us that are following the rules, but to be really honest I just can’t risk a £2/3000 fine, 2 years in jail or to be deemed uninsurable by working illegally. I really hope you all understand.

Lifting of restrictions has been delayed by 2 weeks - I will contact everyone booked in over the next two weeks to reschedule, and will work every single day morning till night to get you all in over the first week we are allowed to resume treatments.

It’s official... we’re getting BACK TO BROWS!!!

I know you’re all super excited, but we are NOT allowed to open on Monday. Treatments in the ‘high risk zone’ (face) are still prohibited. Believe me, I’m as frustrated as you all are ☹️😢 We are awaiting further guidance which I believe will be issued tomorrow, fingers crossed. Please, please bear with us 🙏🏻

Sadly, following on from today’s announcement we will NOT be reopening 4th July. At this moment there are no dates in the ‘Road map’ for Beauty Salons/Tattooing

To say we are devastated is an absolute understatement.

I’ve had lots of lovely messages recently asking me when I’m taking bookings again....

Following the announcement that we have been downgraded from COVID-19 Alert level 4 to level 3, my diary is now open from 4th July onwards.

Whilst we still don’t have any clarity from the government as to when we can officially reopen, I am cautiously optimistic and EXCITED to be making preparations to welcome you all back into the salon

Please understand that there is a possibility that appointments may get pushed back depending on the official government advice when it is released.

Just before we went into lockdown, most people with an existing appointment were rebooked for mid July onwards, but a couple of people Julie didn’t have contact numbers for.
