Maple House Rehabilitation Unit - KR

Were is the logic in this , before Christmas I was told that the winter jackets that my son had with him saying that they were not fit for purpose , and that he was lent money to buy one , also to buy me a Christmas present , I protested about this , because I knew that he had at least four with him that had never been worn , i was told that they didn't exist and it was his last rehab place , recently on a home visit the subject was brought up , were he said he helped my son with his clothing and he rembers the jackets and had commented on them being like new , I have asked why this is , I have still recieved no answer , they lent him money at Christmas but in January they would not even lend him a pound to get me his mother a birthday card , I am saving up the money to send them and they can have the Christmas back I. Cant take the joy of them knowing that money was lent . This has caused a. Deep distress to me , and I so hurt that they are doing this to me .
Happy New Year to you all. Tom. πŸŽ‰
Ash House
Specialist Service for men with Complex Mental Health Needs
KR Health & Social Care Group, Ash House Rehabilitation Hospital, Norris Street, Warrington,
WA2 7RP, T: 01925 240 515, W:

A new team, a new service, a new start, a new opportunity -

Ash House is under new management, has a new operational framework, clinical team and patient profile. The service has been re-inspected and the majority of domains are now rated Good by the CQC. This is a significant and transformational change to the service. We are taking new admissions and developing our interpersonal pathway offer into our affiliate community supported living service.

We have invested in new staff, new training, the building fabric and our therapeutic and clinical resources. Ash House is a new service, we are proud of it and confident that we can effectively and appropriately meet the needs of our patient group, our commissioners and our regulators.

We have also upgraded our community supported living service and in doing so can facilitate an inter personal integrated pathway of care for each patient we support across Warrington and the wider area with Ash House at its centre.

This new start for the service is under the direction of a motivated, credible and experienced leadership team. We consider Ash House to have huge potential, to appropriately meet a growing need, to work dynamically with those we support and to support a broader affiliate network of specialist mental health care services across the region.

We are on a journey and we would like you to join us -

Tom Burns – Chief Executive Officer
Tom heads up the new team. He is a learning disability nurse by profession and a well respected figure across the health and social care sectors with more than 30 years operational experience. Tom conceived and led the Ansel Group a service for people with a wide range of personality disorders, was the Managing Director of the Specialist Services Division for the Cambian Group, Chief Executive of the ILG Group and In-mind Healthcare, Commercial Director of the Priory Group, Business Development Director of St Andrews Group and Director of Commissioning for a large NHS health authority. Additional roles have included consultant commissions for the DoH and MoJ.

Tom has a clear vision for the service founded on experience, a clear understanding of the market and based on a strong value set. Our services will make a positive and sustainable difference to the lives of each person we support, they will be person centred, dynamic and integrated enabling us to offer a meaningful journey of care and recovery for everyone we engage with. We understand that we need to not only make a positive difference for our patients but also for our commissioners and that we are able to consistently offer a service that is safe, caring, responsive, well led and which works at a price that is competitive. This is our commitment and we look forward to delivering on it.

Tom is joined by Dr John Ashcroft, Dr Alan Miller and Richard Broughton – collectively with over 60 years service delivery and development experience in mental health care settings.

Some pictures to share how we have celebrated and educated ourselves for #WorldMentalHealthDay πŸ’š 🌎

Today is world mental Heath day, we are continuing to hold conversations to support our mental health πŸ’›

πŸ“’It’s #WorldMentalHealthDay 🌎

🎁 An opportunity to share kindness all around the worldπŸ’š #KindnessMatters

At times like this when the world feels upside down,

kindness can be the key to turning things around

You see, kindness has the power to create community, support and hope.

A helping hand says your not alone when you face that upwards slope

Of course, being kind is always the right thing to do

But did you know that doing good is also good for you?

You see a little act of kindness can boost your mental health

It can lower stress and cheer your mood to think of someone else

And of course, don’t forget to be kind to yourself

It doesn’t have to take a lot, β€˜cause even the smallest spark

Can be the thing to light the way when someone’s world feels dark

So, make that call, share that gif, send some happy post

And this World Mental Health Day 🌎

Remember kindness matters most! πŸ’š
