Spotlight on my client @jakwilliams__ 🔥

Check his 190kg x 2 deadlift at around an 8RPE 🚀

The best thing about this deadlift?

4 months.

Jak has only been weight training for 4 months. Before that, he’d never touched a barbell in his life.

Making this level of strength gain in such a short space of time epitomises Jak’s work ethic, attention to detail and crazy high standard he has for himself.

This estimates him above a 200kg pull.
Not too bad at all…

A lot of lifters miss their accessory work, stop when they’re tired, don’t pay attention to nutrition and let themselves off all too often.

I can confidently say Jak is the opposite of all of this. He works his ass off. He doesn’t miss workouts. He doesn’t miss sets. He doesn’t miss reps. And he eats like a machine and always follows his daily nutrition protocol.

This is why he gets the results he does.

Watch this man have a huge deadlift very very soon 🚀

27/07/2021

Last weeks 242.5kg x 3 🎉

Training has been feeling a little funky and inconsistent over the last few weeks but with a lot of added fatigue from the house move, the added stress of all the moving parts in the business and a few niggles and injuries being a royal pain in my ass, it’s safe to say I was happy to take this PB 🔥

I’m feeling the tides turn and will be on for a great few upcoming months.

With @brettgibbz programming I’ll always be in great hands and now the introduction of @scott_lannon taking over all things nutrition and supplementation for me, it’s time to take things up a notch.

Have you checked our YouTube channel out yet?

The bench is making a comeback.

I’ve not hit anything heavy since my 182.5kg almost a couple months ago.

But the return is here.

150kg for multiple sets of 4 and still feeling easy.

The push is confirmed by @brettgibbz and I’m ready to work 👊🏻

02/06/2021

The rebuild continues.

207.5kg x 5 📸

Probably the first session that I’ve felt good since pulling 300. It’s felt frustrating, but the way things have moved today tells me I’m on the road back.

Sumo + hook grip is very new for me but I’m definitely finding my groove. Let’s see where we can take it 🚀

16/05/2021

Last weeks 260kg squat moving like butter. Unfortunately this was all I had in the day.

Lots of work incoming to chase and redeem the 270kg and push for the big goal of 300kg raw.

09/05/2021

300kg

A huge goal ticked off ✅

It moved slower than I thought it would but there was no way I was letting this go, it meant too much to me and I like doing what I said I would 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks to the team for support yesterday, everyone was awesome 👏

Putting in the work with @brettgibbz leading the way with the programming which has been incredible so far.

Making it a personal goal of mine to make it onto @kingofthelifts IG, let’s get that ticked off soon too! 😎😎

02/05/2021

182.5kg - PB

A week or two of pec rehab and the quest for a 200kg bench continues.

29/04/2021

Monday recap - 260kg

All time personal best with ALOT still in the tank.

I reckon I have 280kg in me, what do you think?

On the road to 300kg raw.

Timeline Photos 28/04/2021

Paradise.

Paradise.

23/04/2021

This is a biiiiiig moment for me - 180kg bench press 🚀

I’ve been dreaming about a 4 plate bench for many years and happy to say that I’ve boxed it off with ease.

Looking at this there has to be a 190kg-195kg in there when a true max is tested.

On the road to 200 🔥

Thanks to @brettgibbz for the brilliant programming 🙌🏻

22/04/2021

285kg - New PB.

300 pending...

17/04/2021

Bench is moving 🚀

170kg x 1 @ 7.5RPE

The goal of 180kg is ready to go. Already thinking about chasing 200kg.

Grateful to have an incredible bench presser on my side to help me achieve this @brettgibbz

4 plates, next week maybe? Let’s see 👊🏻

14/04/2021

280kg/617lbs x 1

New PB at around a 7.5RPE.

Admittedly this did not feel very difficult for a single. Much more in the tank.

300kg, I’m coming for ya in a few weeks 🚀

29/03/2021

240kg/529lbs x 4 @ 9RPE

This was my previous 1RM around 2 years ago which is the last time I ever attempted a true 1RM.

3 months back into powerlifting under the watchful eye of @brettgibbz and things are progressing VERY fast 🚀

All PB’s to round off this training block and now moving into a deload week.

Training Block PB’s -

Squat - 240kg x 4 @ 9RPE
Bench - 165kg x 4 @ 9RPE
Deadlift - 270kg x 3 @ 9RPE

Blown everything out the water and already excited to see what the next block brings 🙌🏻

25/03/2021

270kg x 3 @ 9RPE

Got reeeeaallllyyy hyped for this one and it moved pretty fast considering how much of a PB this is.

Confident there’s around 300kg there now but no need to get ahead of ourselves.

@brettgibbz with the phenomenal programming and @scott_lannon with the mad hype 🚀

Bench tomorrow, let’s see how it goes 👊🏻

My new thing seems to be reacting to absolutely terrible fitness and nutrition advice that TikTok is plagued with.

Watch my stories daily to see me crap all over these charlatans 💩

Too many people are trying to give advice on health, fitness and nutrition when they should be running a thousand miles away from it.

Generally, it’s from unqualified people with no experience and no social proof of results too.

Go figure.

Time to spread good information, not harmful bullsh*t.

Success doesn’t happen overnight, and neither does fat loss.

We’re in an era where ‘fat loss’ can be demonised but it is absolutely okay to want to lose fat.

It doesn’t make you a bad person, it doesn’t mean that you don’t love yourself just the way you are, it’s because you want something different, and that’s okay.

I recommend most people to go through a true fat loss phase (unless there’s absolutely no need of course) so that they can experience how it impacts their life, whether that be for the better or worse.

The common trend I’ve found from coaching people through fat loss phases is that when they ‘get there’, they’re definitely not any happier, as losing fat does not create happiness...

However, what it teaches you is something else entirely.

- Patience
- Hard work
- Resilience

I could go on and on.

If you’re scared to go into a fat loss phase in fear of not feeling good enough, remember, you ARE good enough, and you owe it to yourself to commit to ANY goal that you have your mind on, regardless of what people may think.

This goal doesn’t need to be fat loss.

It could be weight gain.

It could be stepping foot in the gym.

It could be building a stronger squat.

No matter the goal, it’s personal to you.

Don’t let the fear of judgment from other people take away from the things you truly want to work on.

It’s not their life.

It’s yours.

New Squat PB - 215kg x 4

In consistent PB territory even with sets like this being around 7/7.5RPE.

Things are moving pretty damn fast and we’re nowhere near hitting max effort yet.

Prioritising recovery and shoulder health at the moment after a few weeks of pec issues as the last thing I want is not taking advantage of these training blocks where progression is fast.

Every session is fun at the moment with only a few sessions being ‘off’.

Potentially looking at getting on the platform this year but let’s see what happens...

Having the belief that you can achieve something extraordinary is the first step in being successful with that achievement.

Self doubt or lack of commitment to what you say is the goal is the main reason you might see yourself stuck in the same position year after year.

I have phone calls with many people who are frustrated and fed up of the way they feel or look. Some for personal training, some for online and some for group PT at Eden.

If there’s on distinct difference between the people who succeed and the people who don’t, it is the level of commitment they show IMMEDIATELY.

If you ever say you want to achieve ‘x’ goal, but then make up an excuse as to why you can’t achieve it, then it is likely you never will.

It’s no one else fault, this is on you. There are harsh realities when it comes to health, and that reality is that it is YOUR responsibility to put in the work and to INVEST into yourself.

Let’s be honest, no one else is going to do it. No one can make you go to the gym or to eat right, that’s on you. I can’t make my clients train, yes I can help keep them accountable but I’m not gonna stand outside their door before work to get them out of bed.

It’s on YOU to want it badly enough.

So the next time you say you want to achieve something, ask yourself this question:

Do you really want to achieve it? Or will you make up a story as to why you can’t?

I’ve trained countless people. And guess what?

It’s never the people with the endless supply of money, or the most time on their hands, or in the best health, or the ones without kids that succeed the most.

It’s the one that work the hardest and are willing to put in the work REGARDLESS of the situation they’re in.

That’s the truth.

If you keeping thinking about it, then you’ll never commit, and time is our most valuable asset.

So I put this to you, how badly do you want it?

If there’s one thing we believe when working with people, it’s that boredom = failure.

Creativity is important in all aspects of programming whether it be nutrition or training.

Creativity doesn’t mean different, in this case, it actually means simplicity.

Being creative enough with SIMPLE ingredients to get the most out of them.

Always loved working with Sam and his results showed.

This was an awesome transformation that was achieved with less than ideal circumstances.

Working away every week, with no a access to a fridge and little access to a gym...

We made it work.

Proper planning and incredible ex*****on got Sam into incredible shape.

This transformation shows you do not need everything to perfectly align in order to get the results you want.

Every single person is an a better situation than the next in some form or another.

It’s whether you’re willing to execute with the situation you have that is the determining factor of achieving the results you’re looking for.
