We have been made aware that some patients at GP practices in the north west have been receiving scam phone calls from somebody pretending to be from their GP practice. Once a rapport has been established, they have then offered the patients medication at a cost and then proceeded to ask for bank details.

Please be aware and vigilant when answering calls, we will always identify where we are calling from and our purpose for calling if it is not an expected call. We will NEVER ask for any payments over the telephone and if you have any doubts you can call the surgery.
