What a turn out! We’d like to think it’s because it was our last day at the old bank (& perhaps a little bit of it was) but to be honest it was as much about .morsels who once again produced the most beautiful sounds enjoyed by customers old & new as well as by us. And don’t worry if you couldn’t get in, they’ll be back in our new place very old soon.

We’re ‘MOSTLY’ there… most of the painting, tiling, electric’s & plumbing is done. The floor is being scrubbed tomorrow, the oven is being pushed up Rylands/Cairo/Sankey Street at 5:30 on Friday….

We will be closed at The Old Bank from 5pm Saturday 21 October and will reopen fully at The Hive, 27 Sankey Street from Monday 6 November. But as we need to fill wholesale orders we will be baking on key dates over the 2 week closure around the move. This means you can order bread to collect BY 3PM on those dates only which are:
Tuesday 24 October
Thursday 26 October
Tuesday 31 October
Orders can be made via DM or WhatsApp or in the shop (please note the landline number will not be available) or email [email protected]

All orders must be received by Monday 23 October for both weeks!

We had the pleasure of being part of .warrington Heritage week in September which saw lots of people visiting the town centre and enjoying many different activities managed by Warrington Museum. Craig asked if we could include a bank vault visit and host a bread demonstration and the feedback was brilliant. Wait til we over at - an even older building!

Artisanal Baking Demonstration
It was a chance to visit an old property that I remember in a town that I used to live and as it was an old bank it now housed an Artisan Bakery. The Bakery owners gave a tour of the old vaults of the bank and an exceptional demonstration of Artisan Bread making. We were given the option to taste the breads fresh from the oven and able to buy some of the ingredients to enable me to have a go and make my own bread at home. An excellent visit.

I think as you age you become more interested in local history and visiting places that have had significance to your own family . The people we met were so friendly and lovely. Great for the businesses too. Didn't even realise that the old bank's current business are about the move into the old co-op building in Nov. So it's encouraged us to visit their cafe/bakery when it opens. Thank you Warrington x

Here's everything you need to know:

🎟 Tickets are £10, including your glass and programme, and are available on the door. You can then buy your beer via a green (for beers up to 5% ABV) and yellow (for stronger beers) token system.

Session times:
▶️ Thurs, 5.30pm to 10.30pm
▶️ Fri, 5pm to 11.30pm
▶️ Sat, 12pm to 10.30pm

🍺 Ale lovers will have 64 beers to choose from plus some AF options at the drivers' bar, a full range of ciders and a gin and prosecco bar.

🍔 Food again comes courtesy of Cafe at the End of the Universe where you can get your bockwurst fix 😋

Warrington Oktoberfest by Rotary is the official Facebook. is back again for its 26th Year! A not-for-profit beer festival, organised by the Warrington Rotary Club and staffed entirely by volunteers. All profits are donated to charity.

A three day celebration of beer, cider, gin and prosecco at the Parr Hall with live music 🎶

World Mental Health Day

Butterflies have 4 stages to their life cycle which can last just a few months or in cold locations several years. They go through stages of being ugly, vulnerable and beautiful. I know that feeling!

This gorgeous example was in my back garden yesterday and I really hope it’s still flying around today but nature like our mental health, needs to be nurtured and supported to be at its best. So if you’re feeling more caterpillar or chrysalis and are desperate to find your inner butterfly, reach out. There are some amazing organisations in Warrington there for you including:
who run a Monday night group in Lymm
who run Offload men’s group and many groups linked to sport
who run women’s groups and you can always try
who can put you in touch with a local group in your area.
And if you just want a cuppa & a chat, nip into Mamars…

These flowers have been sent to me by my daughter who moved back home for a little bit recently til she got her new flat sorted. And I know I’m kind of advertising but she rang La Beau Fleurs florist cos she knows I love what they do and my goodness is it any wonder why? Florists do tend to be truly gorgeous people anyway but Rachel & Rach just have that little bit of extra love & now they know me a little bit too this gorgeous bunch is packed with my favourites. I rarely post personal stuff but hey it’s World Mental Health Day & my day now feels a whole lot better ❤️❣️💚

Treacle cured pork loin, pressed pork shoulder & salt dry aged pork belly, served with pave potatoes, roast celeriac, apple purée and a pork jus (Vegetarian option available)

Mamars Artisan Cheese selection with house made crackers

As always we will only be using the highest quality ingredients and making everything from scratch (even the crackers & bread sticks 😲) and this time we’re also offering a trio of wines paired to accompany the 3 main dishes.

Our Christmas wreath making workshop is now SOLD OUT and we honestly cannot wait to see all 50 of you on 3rd December for a gorgeous start to the festivities!

Quite a few people have asked about an additional evening workshop, I have made enquiries and we are able to arrange another class of an evening!

It would prob run 6-8.30pm, in Mamars Artisan Bakery & Licensed Delicatessen on a weekday evening and would include a glass of fizz and festive nibbles.
