This young adult is absolutely phenomenal! His voice is incredible. I recently had first hand experience of a young person who struggled to use language to communicate, yet whose singing voice was wonderful. . Never under estimate human potential. Talents can sometimes be hidden! At AYC we use a strengths based approach to uncover potential and support growth. We believe in the art of the possible!

We are currently working hard to prepare our training packages for schools. Today’s focus is the interface between Executive Functioning, Cognition and Learning. Our sessions provide valuable information and insights into this complex yet fascinating topic. We ensure each training session privides all participants with opportunities to understand how to apply new knowledge and skills and support s them to improve both curriculum design and delivery.

Today was a good day. Training to ensure staff understand purposes, legal responsibilities, consent, confidentiality and what good quality reports and assessments look like ☺️

Today we are excited to welcome Olivia, who is starting as one of our Assistant Educational Psychologists. Olivia brings a wealth of experience with her and will be working with schools to assess children and young people and offer support around cognition and learning, communication and interaction, social, emotional and mental health as well as looking at environmental adaptations that will support them.

We are highly competitive and fully multidisciplinary. We explicitly adhere to NICE guidelines and are neuro affirmative in approach. We have high levels of expertise in assessing adults, particularly women and girls. We also have extensive experience of assessing children.
