CRAFTING ✂️ 💐

Every couple of months we get together to create some crafty! Today we made beautiful bookmarks, trinkets boxes, pictures and a card for one of our residents who has been unwell, using locally dried flowers 🌸

Creative activities are great for our well-being and give residents the opportunity to catch up on the week’s news and to hear what is happening in each other’s lives.

It’s also time to enjoy being quiet together 😊

Our flags have finally come down today 🇬🇧 but the memories will live on from our wonderful VE Day afternoon celebration together 🎂 🎹 🎶

There was cake, good conversation and song, as one of our residents even picked up their keyboard again!

LIFE LONG LEARNING! 📚

Our home owners have been loving this weather and this week the gardening club some spent time with the little ones at Back To The Garden Childcare, planting vegetable and flower seeds in their garden! 🥕🌸🫘

The afternoon gamers also enjoyed some Spring air, as the patio doors were open whilst the Scrabble was out on International Scrabble day! 🔤

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS 🥳 🎈🧁

We’ve enjoyed celebrating another trip round the sun with some of our treasured residents this morning!

There were home-made cakes, handmade cards, good chat with friends and a welcome visit from our little neighbours! ☺️

Our residents have been getting crafty 🧶 , reading stories to the children at Back To The Garden Childcare Lymm 📕 and challenging their brains with a fun quiz, in aid of ! 🔴😁

There’s always something going on at Minerva Place. Last week we welcomed Paul Thompson and Nadine ( his guitar 🎸!) for some classics and a new song from his comic songbook 🎵

We enjoyed a catch up at the end of the week at Valentine’s Elevenses, and we’ve all almost cracked the jigsaw – many hands definitely making light work! 🧩

We’re looking forward to our craft session this afternoon ✂️ and games afternoon tomorrow 🎲

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 MINUTES! 🌎

Last week we enjoyed an interesting afternoon with one of our fellow residents, Louise, journalling her travels around the world with her camera 📷

Some amazing sites and stories were shared, sparking interest, and, for some, a trip down memory lane ☺️

There was also an international influence at games afternoon, as we played triominoes using a beautiful wooden set, provided by Constance, all the way from China 🇨🇳
