It’s Sunday again and you all know what that means 🤪Hip flexor/quad stretches are always in my ‘go to’ list of stretches. I personally struggle with injuries and discomfort in my hips and knees and these simple stretches for anybody can help relieve any of the symptoms and can prevent inflammation in the joints. - Here’s a couple of simple yet effective stretches to work those hammies and much more! Focus on pushing your chest towards your legs rather than your head and remember to hold each stretch for more than 20 seconds and repeat at least 3 times! (I would recommend holding the stretch until the discomfort eases and hold the next stretch longer or make the stretch slightly harder to make the stretching more affective)

• STRETCHING SUNDAYS •

❕Welcome to the new series I know you’re all thrilled about 😉 I’m the stretching queen we all know, so I thought I’d provide some extra help across my social media platform. I’m often finding myself showing the same simple yet affective stretches across a variety of my clients weekly, so why not leave them on here for you all to refer back too. Stretching not only helps increase flexibility but also helps reduce tension and pain in a local area❕

- NECK -
A very common area affected across all my clients. From lifting weights, sitting on your phone and even your resting position lying in bed your neck can carry a lot of strain daily. Here are some simple yet affective stretches that you can add into your day. Working across the scalenes, trapezius and levator scapulae to name a few muscles. Hold each stretch for at least 15-30 seconds and repeat as many times as possible until the uncomfortable stretching pain eases, I promise it’s worth it 😉🤷🏻‍♀️
