L&M Healthcare Whittle Hall
Like all L&M Healthcare homes, Whittle Hall is a beautiful place to live and work and is definitely not your everyday care home.
This is our second home in the Warrington and has 74 beds over 2 floors offering dementia nursing and complex dementia care.

We’re posting our activities planner a little early this week so everyone can plan their visits in advance.
It’s Easter week next week and we got some fabulous things planned. There’s Easter bonnet and bag making, cupcake decorating, a fabulous live performance from Tina Sax on Good Friday, and a visit from Balloon Artist Alex from Bollington Balloons on Easter Sunday.
We’re starting next week with our regular Sport, Music, Art, and Animal Assisted therapies with Home Safari and our Pat Dog. In between we’ll be pampered, having a sensory morning and some lovely outdoor activities!
What is not to love during Easter week here at Whittle Hall?!

Another date for your diary. Don’t miss this, it’s going to be a lovely afternoon celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe - VE Day.
🇬🇧❤️

Our next Family Suport Group is April 28th. Everyone is welcome. Please book your place with Elly so we know the numbers attending.

Slam dunk fun this morning!
It’s been a busy one here as our WBL Kristen and APs Elly and Alina joined our residents for a lively game of basketball in the sunshine! What started with one resident soon turned into a full-on match with three of our wonderful gentlemen showing off their impressive skills.
The competitive spirits were high, and it was amazing to see everyone so active and engaged. We’re making the most of the spring sunshine and encouraging our residents to get moving, have fun, and enjoy the fresh air — all while giving those motor skills and hand-eye coordination a great workout!

Easter Sunday 2pm.

Another lovely week here at Whittle Hall with something for everyone to look forward to.
We’re starting our days with sensory mornings, except for Tuesday when our PAT dog will be visiting.
Our afternoons will be a mix of Art and Sport therapy, pamper sessions, outdoor activities and music playlists.
Don’t forget, you’re welcome to take part in any of our planned activities when visiting your loved ones.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this fabulous piece of art inspired by the artist Frida Kahlo produced in our Art Therapy session. Isn’t it fabulous?!
Frida Kahlo was a Mexican artist, well known for her self portraits. Her work has been celebrated internationally as emblematic of Mexican national and Indigenous traditions and by feminists for what is seen as its uncompromising depiction of the female experience and form.
Residents were extremely proud of what they achieved with this collaborative piece and quite rightly so!
All visitors are welcome to join in any of our Art Therapy sessions which are led by Art Therapist Jane Farrelly from Creative Mojo and supported by our Wellbeing and care teams. It’s a great way to spend quality time with your loved one - either doing something you both love or trying something new.

This afternoon we had a visit from our Sport Therapist Nic from Rise Sports Therapy.
Nic led a rugby-themed session for all our residents to enjoy. One resident used to be a professional rugby player and he thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing about his old career days.
Everyone got into the competitive spirit as we played point-scoring rugby matches! The session finished with everyone getting the chance to hold up the amazing RISE trophy. What a fun-filled afternoon here at Whittle Hall!
🏉❤️

Yesterday at Whittle Hall we had a ‘Magical Music Therapy’ session led by Ian from Music In Mind!
Ian took resident’s music suggestions such as ABBA and Elvis Presley, and played an interactive music medley for all to enjoy. We had residents dancing to the music and having a blast!
Thank you to Ian for making our residents day extra special!

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone living and working in our home.
We’ve had a lovely afternoon with some special treats to eat prepared by our fabulous Chef, Ella and a wonderful live performance from Saxophonist Tina Sax. Everyone loved her performance and some of us even put on our dancing shoes!
Thankyou ladies. What a lovely afternoon this has been.
