The signature of Liz Truss, our new PM in the UK shows that here is a lady likes to get things done However, she may be emotionally inconsistent and can be impatient. She will leave the details to others and can lack nurturing qualities and feel awkward in expressing the diplomatic aspects of her role. Her large signature speaks of confidence and the desire to project herself but the turning back of the capital T in her surname suggests she experiences ambivalence and struggles in an attempt to be introspective. She may be lacking the finer points in negotiation. The angular connections mean she will come at things from an angle rather than agreeing to compromise. I also thinks she experiences headaches or eye issues at the time of writing this. This is what we will see but what is she really like. Posting soon, her actual handwriting. So much more detail on our Prime Minister.

Annie Lennox - singer

Annie's handwriting radiates enthusiasm. The upright direction of her writing shows independence and strong T bars show good leadership skills (notice how they curve over like umbrellas - this shows a desire to protect others) and lack of spaces between words means that she enjoys the company of others and is a good team worker. The lack of lead-ups to letters shows spontaneity and the gaps between letters show she is shrewd and weighs situations up. The joining of first and second names indicates closeness to family.
This is the handwriting of a strong, sociable (middle zones well occupied), confident and energetic lady who is always willing to try new things. The heart shows a woman who loves the world. The pointy A in her indicates name ambition and also shows she likes her own way and lets people know it. She has creative flair and a need to impress. The underlining of the name is a clear sign she wants to be noticed. The full stop underneath means she likes the last word!

WILLIAM & KATE, THE BRITISH ROYALS by Jane Reid 8/8/22

Prince William is in line for the British throne and it is interesting to look at how William feels regarding his future role and also to look at his relationship with his wife Kate. First I will begin with their personalities.

Kate actually has very natural handwriting. If you look at where she and her hubby place their signatures on a letter, you can see that she may stand up and represent him and draw attention when they are out together. Her large loops on her T bars show Kate is sentitive to criticism which she hides very well, but she has a sense of decorum and can take the lead and follow through when asked to do something. Her lower case letters are small, showing she may have a select number of friends and is not always a greatly social person but she is able to get emotionally involved with others and enjoys saying what she thinks. William's signatire is rather flattened and careful, showing he may give less away beneath a guise of being busy and attending to the essentials whereas Kate with her clearer signature is not averse to being more familiar than he might be in company.

Kate's flowing right-angled slant in her main writing shows a more sociable side to her. She can be familiar with those she knows well and is a spontaneous and caring peson who likes to express herself and can think fairly quickly but her arcade connection on her T bar shows she knows how to keep her private life private. Her high i dots show perceptiveness and observation and an intelligent lady who knows how to adapt in social situations. Her words are close together, showing a liking to be around others. Looking at the closeness of her maiden surname and first name, we can see that she values her birth family and is close to them.

Kate does not see herself as a leader (see middle zone T bars) but she can take to a role and see things through. The looped T bars show that the only time she falters is when she feels criticised. The slight dots on upper loops may show an issue in the head area, possibly headaches or tension in this area. The hesitation in the flow and closeness of wording shows that just like many of us, Kate can tend to worry about things and feels a strong need for validation.

Kate is a lady who likes fun, and is warm and concientious. And despite appearances she probably finds it easier to be natural than Megan who has quite ornamental writing and shows a sense of self control regarding her image and a strong awareness of appearances along with a concern about how things come across. This is not something you might expect.

I have looked at an early picture of William's handwriitng and noticed that before his mother's death, his style was more relaxed and natural. His current handwriting shows he is more ambivalent and guarded regarding others. He does not really see himself as a leader so I do not think he will rule in an authoritative fashion. The gaps between his words show he needs a little more personal space than his wife. Sometimes he does feel alone and he is used to this.

The well placed I dots show good attention to detail. The handwriting direction moves left and right showing he is aware that he needs to be circumspect in his dealings with people and he can want to go forward and open himself up but then decide to be more careful. His wife tends to be more trusting.

WIlliam is intelligent and may deal with things more critically than his wife who is more spontaneous but his sense of humour and humility are to be admired. He tends not to push himself forward or dominate conversations and is a good listener who really thinks about what has been said to him. Sometimes he may experience feelings of depression or sadness where he becomes introspective. He does not allow his imagination to carry him away but seeks to keep his feet on the ground. The carefully created spaces show he paces himself and waits for a reaction before he acts and he has become skilled at this.

William's signature shows he is a little more caution when it comes to letting people know who he really is and his lower zone is slightly clubbed, suggesting some physicial tension felt within his body that may affect his moods and would benefit trhough some kind of physical release. Exercise and getting out will help free him up and contact with animals and nature are beneficial to him.

Sometimes one might not get an open answer from him when asking a question, because he thinks carefully about how he expresses himself. I feel his sense of self and security is not fully developed. There is a sense of needing to find oneself and I think we will see many changes in his handwriting if he assumes the crown.

WHO WAS THE REAL DAVID BOWIE?

If you look at David Bowie's handwriting over the years, you see some interesting changes that are in keeping with his experiences and his personality and which reflect his maturing attitude and how he dealt with fame.

Looking at the two samples with photos, you see his tall, looped T bars and circled I dots. The Lyrics show a sensitive and independent David who is somewhat immature and childlike.

Circling I dots are often a feature of creative people and they show egocentrism and a mind that goes round in circles. They often feature in the handwriting of arty people and eccentrics who may appear or seem different in their desire to stand out from the crowd.

The T bars are a sign of willpower and the crosses on them denote rank or role in society, how people perceive themselves and David's are pretty high which show he can be a leader and he can follow through, but the loops on the T bars also show sensitivity to criticism and the circles in the 'O' formations, a desire to keep secrets or not reveal one's true intentions. All in keeping with the need to control the self in order to project an image to the world. The large middle zones show a desire to be social and involved with others on an eneryday level but the high top zones show a love of ideas.

The underlining of the word 'Bowie' shows a desire to draw attention to this new persona, and to be noticed. The downward slant of the autograph may denote pessamistic feelings but is probably mostly due to the space given on the photo. However, it is worth noticing that a downward slope usually occurs when tired, depleted or in a low mood and an upward slant shows optimism and energy. We see both of these on David's handwriting at different times.

The large circled I dots can get pretty large at times in the early handwriting and this shows creativity, ego and self absorption, plus what can sometimes be an over occupation with details and rules and a desire to be oppositional. They can also show a liking for fantasy and escapism, a powerful need for significance and a desire to rebel and free oneself of conflicts.

Looking at David's later handwriting, we can see he does fewer circled I dots (though they are still present) as he has matured and as his signature has become more obscure, showing that he values privacy above image and keeps his real self very private. In many ways though he is still childlike and his moods changeable so he could be difficult to understand unless someone has known him for a long time. Notice how the middle zones are much smaller than in his early handwriting. This shows less desire for social involvement.

When a signature is not readable, it is a sign that there is a formal persona which keeps the real person behind it really private and this is what David did, moving to the US, where he could, in many respects live a more normal life.

David's signature has in his later years, become knotted, showing that he had crafted his own persona and his way of dealing with the world and was not an easy person to know. A signature that differs from the main handwriting shows that the outer person differs from the inner and if larger, it shows a strong ego and self importance.

His large, lower loop shows a strong awareness of material matters and financial abundance and the knotting of the signature reveals a need to be in control. David's mature writing also shows a backward slant, indicating more caution and a withdrawing from the world. Yet his upward slanting T bars towards the end of his life, are a sign of ambition and aspiration, reflecting his desire to make a final statement with Blackstar, his parting gift to the world.

Looking at David's lyrics on 'Blackstar', we see a more mature writing but the overtracing and structure and formation shows physical weakness and rumination which is understandable, given Davids's illness. The 'I' formations have lots of space around them showing a feeling of needing personal space but also a sense of isolation, Doodles which have a lot of shading, often show worry and depression and lines across almost act as venetian blinds through which we peep out at the world while trying to remain unseen ourselves. The expression on the faces of doodles often show how we are feeling ourselves.

David's normal handwriting showed a strong need to keep his privacy, discipline, but also a gentler and more good humoured side to his nature, as he wrestled with his creativity, in his attemtps to live a normal life. In his desire to stand out from the crowd and gain respect and admiration, he experienced the ups and downs and he could become irritated, could take offence, could be secretive and insist things be done his way but he could also express real sensitivity and wisdom while all the time, being the real and vulnerable person he was. Only those who had been involved with David for a long time really knew the real person behind the persona.

Looking at Justin Bieber's handwriting, I can see his basic writing differs from his signature showing that the person he outwardly portrays is not his real self. In reality he is more introverted (note the backward slope) and his I formations have space around them showing he not only needs his personal space but he can experience loneliness no matter how much admiration he gets. Note how where he says 'I love my fans', he is moving more towards an upward stroke in an attempt to show he is sincere and does not want to appear to be backing away from them.

His signature shows that he thrives on attention in his career and is highly emotional, but the erratic direction shows he can appear to have conflicted emotions in front of others and as his T bars are medium range and get heavier, this shows he does not see himself as a leader as such and can get impatient (even bad tempered) when he feels forced to follow a role and he is not feeling it. Lots of rounds and loops are emotional and he is affectionate. He needs love, yet look at how he lacks emotion loops in his actual handwriting.

Being two people, one in private and another in public is not easy at the best of times. I have seen other samples here he does a whirwind of a doodle underneath his signature that looks like a scribble. This shows lots of feelings can can surface at any time. There is definaitely more to him than meets the eye.

I see a person who needs his privacy, needs his space to be real and makes big adjustments for his public life and who needs to work through his complex emotions to discover what he really wants.

What is our Queen really like?

Queen Elizabeth has strong handwriting, even in her later years and her handwriting shows independence of spirit and leadership. The high T bars indicate, quite rightly, that she has no lack of confidence when it comes to portraying a senior role and the pressure she puts into these T bars shows she is a stickler for correctness and can really put her foot down with others. about how she wants things done.

The large signature shows good self esteem and the underlining of the signature reminds us she really needs others to listen to her.

Many of the strokes in her handwriting such as the shepherd hook arcade in the word 'of' show that she is protective regarding her private life and the lack of lead ups towards her words show she can be spontaneous when she speaks.

Note how her lower zones (the loops on her gs and ys and qs) turn back on themselves. This shows that she is altruistic and sacrifices herself for others. The nice gaps between her words show that her majesty needs her personal space and she knows how to get it.

The loops within the os (and closed os) show us that she can be secretive and discrete, the gaps within words show shrewdness, the high i dots show that she is insightful and thinks ahead and the large commas show a wonderful sense of humour.

The Inimitable Quentin Crisp

The subject of the controversial book, The Naked Civil Servant and humorous teacher on style and living had an intriguing personality and his writing tells us a great deal about the inner and outer man.

Looking at the signature, we see he had the mind of a celebrity who was destined to gain attention whatever he did, The huge circle in his Q shows he really wants to make a statement (make an entrance) and the fact it is retraced, means he likes to have that edge too although there could be some obsessiveness regarding how he managed his image.

The circled I dots are quite often seen as a childlike and feminine feature and relate to an egocentric way of thinking while the looped T bars show sensitivity to critcisism, so although Quentin appeared to let others' comments float over him, he did actually take on board what was said about him and could be upset by criticism from others, but his desire to be seen and heard meant he had to accept this.

Quentin's ordinary handwrtiting shows us an intelligent man with good leadership skills shown by the T bars at the tpp of his Ts, although he could not be relied on to be consistent in his leadership due to his sensitivity to criticism which could affect him (note the falling T bar also).

The writing has a slightly upright and to the left slant showing a degree independence and researve and an attempt at emotional detachment which was consistent with his solitary lifestyle. He might have lived alone but he needed the recongition of others.

The lower zones on his ys suggested that he could redirect his s*xuality into some altrusitc area so there are elemnents of self sacrifice in this personality.

There is way more to study here but this is just a sample of what we can glean from the handwrtiting of this extraordinary man.

Here is a DJ/Celebrity/philanthropist, who gained great respect in the UK, until after his death, when his misdeeds were discovered.

Note the enormous, larger than life signature which is so often a feature of ‘big personalities ‘: people who seek recognition in the world. The signature tells us what image a person likes to project into the world and here we have two money symbols on the signature showing us that money features big in his life and he likes to make a show of this.

So we can see s*x and money are important to this person. The signature is underlined showing a need for attention and for his words to be noted. And looking at the normal handwriting we see a more outgoing side and a strong desire to be on top as shown by the high T bars. The T bars are blunt which means there is a desire to dominate and to be in charge and he can be forceful in asserting his will. So here we have an outgoing person, strong on projecting a friendly and quirky image to the world, who likes to be in control.

Here we are drawn straight away to the enormous signature which shows a big ego and an overwhelming desire for attention. He turns two letters into money signs which shows a major interest of his is money.

The two strong downwards strokes in the first letter of his surname are also, in effect, cancelling his first letter out, showing that this person has aggressive tendencies and does not really care about what other people think, when he asserts himself and his image. He uses money as a cover for his identity. In a sense, he is not revealing his true self, but a contrived self and he doesn’t want others to see past this.

The crossing through the L in a zig zag shows cleverness is creating and using this identity, while the I dot as a circle is a common feature in the handwriting of people who are self-absorbed and live in a fantasy world,,created by the ego. The circular I dot is a childlike feature and you will find in frequently in the handwriting of teenagers and people who have childhood issues and are self-absorbed, with a strong need to project an image as a means of impressing others. Many artistic people have this too. I would say he has the needs and nature of a child in some way. The world is his playground, he creates a fantasy, and he wants recognition.

Looking at the writing of the first name, we see an overwhelming lower loop. with a face in it. The lower zone symbolises money or s*x. It can be connected with strong s*xual desires or a liking to accumulate money, impress people with it and to focus on earthly pleasure. The comical smiling face is actually inside this zone, reflecting his brazenness in expressing his desire nature, under the guise of a friendly clown (scary!!). For him this is instinctual, as a means of expressing his personality.

The forward slant of the writing shows gregariousness and confidence when relating to others and when we look at the T bars in his writing, we see leadership qualifies. However, these strong pressured T bars are blunt which shows that rather than leadership this expresses itself through a desire to dominate others and be on top in his career. He is not refined in the way he expresses his will.

His actual signature veers slightly upright and to the left which shows he is wary of giving too much away when he expresses his large persona which would seem to be a contradiction, but it is a carefully thought out one which works for him.

His regular handwriting shows more attention to detail and his rightward moving I dot show he has an eye on the future and thinks ahead and often his mind is on other things while people are talking to him. Note he puts in OBE and places dots under it as if to say "Don't forget who I am"

And I don't think we will

How suited are Harry and Meghan?

Are there challenges ahead?

Prince Harry's writing is so uncomplicated. Harry is how he appears to be and puts on no airs and graces. I would say he is quite modest and childlike, will probably enjoy playing with children, will be attentive and in the moment.

This handwriting shows he is dependent too. Emotionally he is a little guarded and tries not to get carried away but his I dots show that he does think ahead and the curl of his i dots show he is observant, There is little he misses.

Harry is a genuinely nice guy. His slightly larger signature is not too large which shows he does not grab attention, but he does underline his signature which shows he does like to be listened to and taken seriously. which you would expect from a royal of course. I would guess that he would put up with a fair few things but he would pull someone up on something if they took him form granted.

Harry does not see himself as a typical royal or a typical leader and will mix and blend in with the common folk quite easy. He does what he has to do. His large commas show a sense of humour. Looking again at the underlining with his signature i would suggest that harry may be gentle and kind but that he has hidden resource and would not allow himself to be treated badly repeatedly. He expects the same honesty from others as he gives himself.

Note how his script is not rushing ahead. Harry takes his time, never rushes and the space between his words show he is comfortable having time and space to himself. Harry is not really a showman He is a regular guy, reliable, does what he says he will do and is gentle in nature and temperament.

His slightly larger signature is not too large which shows he does not grab attention but he does underline his signature which shows he does like to be listened to and taken seriously. which you would expect from a royal of course. I would guess that he would put up with a fair few things but he would pulls someone up on something if they took him form granted.

Meghan Markle is quite different from her husband. The overarching strokes in her writing move backwards to the left showing that Meghan is very influenced by her past and very aware of her heritage which she will not neglect. The repeating of this high stroke in her writing shows that Megan is very fussy how she likes things and how she likes things is distinctly her. Whoever lives with her must accept this.

Megan is into the realm of ideas and draws on spiritual traditions as part of her reality. She believes in ideas and principles and has a sense of duty to them. Megan’s handwriting is neat and very consistent, showing that you can expect consistent behaviour from her. She will have high standards be very particular and have an enjoyment of beauty and grandeur and quite specific tastes. If anything, she is more of a queen than Harry a king, (but she is a Leo).

Meghan will like to lead in some sense but she will not always go for a top position She is quite capable of taking on responsibility. Her exclamation mark shows she is dramatic. This is definitely the writing of a celebrity and someone who is creative and image- focused but also the writing of someone who will not be told what to do. She knows what she wants. I can imagine her being specific about the clothes she wears the cups she drinks from or teh fabric of her curtains and more. She sees things and is entranced by their beauty.

Her rightward slant shows Meghan is emotional and likes involvement with others. She will not keep herself distant, but she will say what she thinks but though her leading strokes shows she knows about tact and will lead up to it. This lady has drive and likes to keep busy. She needs others who are real and like to communicate around her, people who are dramatic, with a sense of humour.

Note how her stroke at the front of the word love curls back. This shows a certain amount of self-protection. Her high I dots show she is an idealist, She is so interested in everything and is open minded. Her large commas show her sense of humour, playfulness and fun and she is a fun person.

The large signature is clear and easy to read which shows she wants people to know who she is. She is who she appears to be.

So, this union is that of two people who share many things, a sense of humour, an honesty about who they are but at the same time have different ways of relating to the world. I think Harry will have to come round to her way of thinking though - she wins when it comes to who’s in charge! I will say no more!

Are there challenges ahead? Yes.
