A warm welcome to the Birthmark Support Group. We are here to offer UK-based advice and support to people with birthmarks and their friends and families.

We are a registered charity, set up in 1998 by parents of children with vascular birthmarks.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the relaunch of the Birthmark Support Group at the weekend. Bringing people together creates something very special and powerful 💪✨

To all our volunteers, thank you for giving your time and being the heartbeat of everything we do. Thank you to our incredible ambassadors for their passion and dedication continuing to inspire us every day. Thanks too to their families for supporting them and us! Some had travelled a very long distance to be with us and we really appreciate their commitment to our cause 🌟

A very special thank you to our guest, TV & Radio Presenter, for joining us and our ambassador Q&A panel. We loved hearing your stories and thank you for inspiring our community with your humour and positivity 💜

We were also honoured to welcome speakers, birthmark and laser specialists, Samira Syed and Quentin Frew who shared powerful & knowledgeable insights through their presentations.

Thank you to for entertaining us with her beautiful singing and maybe inspiring some future performers! 🎤

The children (and some parents😄) had a blast with our children’s entertainers 🎈and we all had so much fun with the Photo Booth kindly provided by Patrick .co.uk

Thank you to for these incredible photos including some behind the scenes of our talented camera crew who filmed the event for live streaming thank you Dean Woodford 📹🙏🏼

Thanks also to the team at Essex County Cricket Ground for looking after us so well on the day.

We’re committed to making meaningful, lasting change and we’re so grateful to have you all with us 💜

Essex film producer joins relaunch of Birthmark Support Group 22/09/2025

💜 Birthmarks are more than skin deep.

We’re delighted to see BBC News shining a light on challenges that echo what so many in our community face stigma, misunderstanding, and barriers to care.

💜 Visible difference is a strength

💜 Sharing stories beats stigma

💜 No family should feel alone on this journey

💜 At Birthmark Support Group, we work every day to change that: raising awareness, breaking down myths, and making sure no one feels alone with a visible difference.

Awareness drives change.
