We are incredibly excited to welcome Leon Smith to speak at our next 90 Day Planning Event at W Edinburgh on March 27th. Leon, who is the great Britain Davis Cup Captain and Head of Mens Tennis, will share how to build performance plans for elite athletes and also get those incredible, and very individual competitors to come together in a world class team. Peer-2-Peer with a Beer ?

I have had a few messages this week about the Peer-Peer Session at our 90 Day Planning Event on June 13th at W Edinburgh Hotel. It is always the most fun, inspirational, creative and awe-inspiring part of the day. So what is it that we do???

In groups of 4 or 5 business owners and leaders we each take 15 minutes to get the feedback, experiences and ideas on our biggest challenge and biggest opportunity. That’s 5 business leaders who will have faced a lot of the same challenges as you, focus all their experiences and creativity on your business.

It’s a great short cut to success when a peer says, ‘I have done this before – I recommend this’ but sometimes it’s a perspective of someone completely out with your industry and geography who simply asks, ‘Why do you do that? Have you ever thought of this?’ Those fresh eye questions can change the game! It’s an amazing 2 hours to be part of.

And of course, conversations about other businesses can also help yours and the conversations don’t stop when the session ends. Emails and WhatsApps continue after the event to ensure all best practice and great ideas are shared.

As for the Beer ? It’s well earned on the rooftop bar at the end of the day.

Having fun is a serious business and all serious businesses need to have fun! 
That’s what do you get when you combine inspirational people with an inspirational location? 
 
Last week at we worked through how to grow our businesses without feeling too stretched and without damaging our core culture and brand. There really is no point in creating demand for 10 widgets a day if you can only ever produce 1. So how do we get to comfortably managing 10? It really is all about simple, detailed measuring and forecasting. 
And of course, we left with a clear and manageable plan for the next 90 Days. We made sure that the weekly tasks were clear and achievable but weren’t focusing on the to-do list of the day to day but on the big transformational stuff. What task could you each week that will get you closer to where you want your business to be 12 months from now. 
 
Some of the insights and outputs were game changing and none of them were too complex to deliver for the business concerned.

What an inspirational group of people doing inspirational things in an inspirational place!!

Yesterday was the best 90 Day Planning Session I have ever run or attended, and it all came down to the energy, creativity and hard work of everyone who attended.

Beginning with the end (of 2024) in mind we plotted back through the shifts required to make each of our businesses significantly different this time next year. Some of those were suggested by our fellow business owners in the paradigm-shifting peer-to-peer sessions but many were self-realisation that we actually know what to do – we have just never managed to do it. That’s where writing it down and being held accountable to that plan comes into it’s own.

Because we knew we would need some new resource in the journey, we were lucky to have Nik Plevan from e Talent take us through the challenges of (and solutions to) recruiting in 2024. Thanks for a great session Nik.

And we can’t talk about yesterday without talking about the stunning W Edinburgh Thanks to Kelly Greenhalgh and Estella Dias for setting this up and for the team on the day for heir impeccable delivery. When the venue is that stunning and all people talk about is the service, you know it’s an incredible conference and meeting experience. From a service experience, that’s the best event I have experienced – and I have been to a good few events in a good few hotels across the globe in my time.
