Why are so many of us focusing our day to day attention on the things that we think we can’t have or should avoid?
Nothing good comes from a belief pattern built around ‘lack’. .
That thinking is broken.
We focus on all of the things we ‘have’ to give up and start to feel miserable.
Clients have told me they want to get fit but have joined up to something where they're told they HAVE to do # # # of steps otherwise they're lazy...
Clients have talked about anxiety, but in a pattern of doing those things that create feelings of anxiety for them...
HOW ABOUT….we flip things around?
When your mind is focused in the wrong direction, when it is all muddled with emotion it can mean your direction is all over the place & what you start will soon drop off anyway. Back to square one!
The inner rebellion takes place as we fall back into old habits and old patterns that got us where we were to start.
How about when you know you need to change something, you approach it with a more laser like focus & start with you. What do you want?
What about focusing on what you can manage right now in your day to get fitter...
What about focusing on saying no to those things that can cause anxious feelings...
How about visualising your improving health. More energy. Better sleep. Your health worries improving. Feeling calmer. Feeling more in control...

Sometimes there are moments in our life we feel vulnerable, lack confidence & experience anxiety.
I wanted to share how we all can experience moments of vulnerability.
My stomach incisions are not visible to others. So a busy shop with others who couldn't see resulted in my vulnerability should someone knock into me...confidence dented, naturally having spent quite some length of time isolated with being ill prior too.
It can happen to all of us.
Mental wellbeing is still stigmatised, unless understanding is there, & the time required for that understanding too.
ITV Tonight talked about disability recently, the 'unseen' that impact & stalls personal progress.
I've faced my fair share of battles & shared them when relevant working in mental wellbeing so I can relate to many situation I've had to overcome.
It's about allowing time for the situ to pass & those unsettled emotions to settle once again. As they will.

What timing to be laid up and then have major surgery during the hottest weather we've had here these past few months. Blooming typical eh!
I'm pleased to finally see my recovery is now noticeable 3 weeks after my procedure as I await further results. Good news I hope 🤞
I've actually been dressed more and starting to build on strength with getting about more. Some gentle walking and in general doing.
Feels soooo good to be able to measure my progress:)
Recovery from major surgery is for sure no fun when ill prior a while, and the Aries in me has been impatient too!
But I've now begun to put out my availability as I ease back in with offerings of support.

🤔 Rather than thinking that thinking this way only when during a moment suffering anxiety, OR when depression crops up... ..how about thinking that adopting this style overall is a great skill that does help whilst we experience the wide range of emotions we ALL naturally feel time to time.
Once disciplined - a great strategy helping us handle fluctuations of ALL life's ebb & flow as things change naturally. As we grow emotions do come & go with transition.

Yesterday ░I░ ░w░r░o░t░e░ ░s░u░c░h░ ░a░ ░b░a░n░a░l░ ░t░i░t░l░e░to match the pics I posted ↓ - yet this is more what I really needed to share...
When I woke yesterday, first I said 'f*** it' then I carried on heading to the beach!
😟 Way back - these times used to render me still, stuck under a duvet, or out partying to the hilt.
Self-doubt, lack of confidence & fear had me hiding behind a mask that I had built.
I had a rain coat and knew I needed this.
The smell of the sea air, the wind to help change the inner dialogue as I walked a different path.
💡 You see, even I find life brings a 'f*** it' moment or 2. Yes, it's true.
Just because I do what I do, it doesn't mean I like you, don't feel like this way sometimes too.
I no longer need to drink to feel at ease with myself, or others too.
𝙄 𝙣𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄 𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤.
I accept that MY emotions flow. They will come, they will go.
But they do change & for me the revelation was that WE play a part in that to.
When you have a 'f**k it' moment, what do you do?
💡Is that reluctance to go out simple a sign that you prefer to be home?
💡 Does the nervousness just mean that you’re more interested in deeper connections, not a party at that moment in time?
It took me a really long time to embrace the fact that there’s nothing wrong with me.
I just realised time alone is a ♥ GOOD ♥ thing for me.
To not be rushing about, not be waking up worse from the wear from the night before (& before the days begun) & always being & doing for others over me, 𝐁𝐔𝐓 to re-fuel, to re-charge, to just 'be'.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy meeting up with friends when opportunity comes. Having deep conversations over food that may morph into a cocktail or 2 when an opportunity is more naturally sprung.
But no 'f*** it' moment that can cause that pause in my life that once was.
What does it take for you to press 'play' even when those 'f*** it' moments do come?

Anxiety is response to uncertainty or danger and the trigger can be;
❗️ Almost anything
❗️ Nothing in particular
❗️ A generalized, vague sense of dread or misfortune...
Helpful right? ❌
High on the list of anxiety-generating situations is public speaking.
Meeting new people, having to give a talk, presentation, or being called on in class...ANYTHING that potentially draws the spotlight on you 👀
It's where people fear that risk of 'losing face'.
That loss of social standing from being judged negatively.
With over exposure to sensitivity you can feel a perceived threat, when none actually exists.
The problem with anxiety is that no-one's immune.
But the problem becomes a 𝐁𝐈𝐆 problem when the focus is just on the 𝐒𝐘𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐒, the 𝐄𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 and not on the deeper root 𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄.
Feeling anxiety is no joke.
Trying to supress it thinking the 𝐂𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐄 will go away of it's own accord is. Too often it turns into bigger problems, none of which are good.
Fear can be good, it keeps us safe. But when fear is stopping you from living a life you want to...not good at all!
If you are seeking solutions there are many things you can do; talking therapy, hypnotherapy, counselling, reiki...the list goes on. But I urge you DO something, reach out to someone soonest you can because leaving anything only makes it much worse 🤗
