Levis mural. So pleased when I looked at this on a large screen with the timing of this picture. The elements of colour combine well. The chances of the workman holding a cigarette as the man in the mural does.

Love the colours of these beach huts, which lend themselves to a colourful graphic picture.
Hope it's going well..
I'm over in Teignmouth this afternoon and tomorrow as I have a joint exhibition with my uncle David Cowell. Its at the TAAG in Northumberland Avenue. Pop in and have a look and a chat we'd love to see you. The exhibition runs until 5pm Friday 30th September.

I love watching waves crashing on rocks and the photo effects created are truly never repeated. Looks best if you click on the image and share if you like.

A new day on the Exe: Originally photographed in colour, I thought I'd give it a go in black and white. I have to say I prefer this version. What do you think? You can share if you like. If you click on the image it looks better.

The Breakwater at Brixham.

Swoosh! Taken at Praa Sands, Cornwall. Lovely cloud effect on a beautiful summers day. What can you see in the cloud?

The Breakwater at Brixham.

This view of the harbour in Torquay with the wheel. So imagine a 14 storey hotel/flats placed where the wheel is in the photograph. Do you think this will improve the view?

One of my early panoramics now available in black and white.

Swanpool Beach, Falmouth, Cornwall

Taken in last week, a lovely rainbow over Bridge.

Not a bad view from here in Torquay. Anyone else see it?

We've been busy framing these 9 pictures. All ready to be packed and delivered to the customer.

Thank you for liking my page over the past year. Happy New Year to everyone, when it's here!

Lovely around Torquay harbour this evening.

Throwback Thursday: One of my first ever panoramas taken with a Widelux, which was quite an old camera and tricky to use. Coral Island can be seen, so quite some time ago. If you like you're welcome to share.

Who likes waterfalls? You can share if you like.

A NEW DAWN: The beautiful Amalfi Coast, Italy, looking over the town of Amalfi. You can share if you like.

Just a reminder the clocks go back this weekend :( Have to get up earlier for a sunrise.

MEADFOOT BEACH: Taken at dusk this seems to definitely work better in black and white. Feel free to share if you like.

More from Monday morning's shoot. Would love your comments; Black and White or Colour?

DAWN AT BROADSANDS: I hadn't been to Broadsands for quite sometime. Whilst growing up, endless summer days were spent on this beach, (I personally think its the best around the bay). The summer of 76, my brother and friends lived on this beach. Swimming and playing cricket. Then we would look for the 7up and lemonade bottles that had been left behind to get the deposits back. An early morning of reflection..........

TITLED FLAMENCO: Autumn is always a favourite time of the year for photography with nature producing some wonderful displays of colour. I will be on the look out for some more photo opportunities like this. Let me know if you see anything. If you have any pictures you can put them on here for us to see.

Story behind the picture: // Sunrise at Paignton Beach: Hassleblad Xpan. 45mm lens. Fuji Velvia 50.
This is one of my early, and favourite panoramic pictures. I would love to say this was all planned and I had been waiting for hours beforehand, but nothing could be further from the truth. This photo was taken early one September morning at around 6:30am. Having arranged to pick up a fellow photographer for a mornings landscape photography, I was running late and as I was driving from Torquay I could see that a magical sunrise was forming across the bay. I reached Paignton Seafront and I was up against it with regard to capturing this sunrise at its peak. I made the decision that, my friend would have to miss out and I parked the car. As I ran across the green, I had an idea of the sort of photograph I could get. With this in mind I set up the camera fairly swiftly, using the pier to lead into the composition, I didn't have time to change my mind, which I all to regularly do. Ready to take some pictures, a woman of advancing years and size appeared in her swimsuit ready to take her early morning swim. She informed me she was going in for a swim, (I was pleased that was what she was going to do) as she did every morning. Oblivious to the fact I was about to take a picture, she proceeded to walk into frame. Of course I politely asked her to wait, whilst I took 3 photos (bracketing the exposure). Needless to say their was no point taking anymore. Sometimes you get lucky and all the elements fall into place, however, you have to get out of bed, then you create your own luck. As landscape photographers know, you can spend hours waiting for the right light, and it doesn't come.
I picked up my friend, late, to go and do some more photography. Red sky in the morning sailors warning, came true as it started raining and needless to say the rest of the day was a washout where the photography was concerned.
One of my best selling prints, having now sold over 60 copies the print is still available as an edition of 100. What if I had been on time...

5 foot long panoramic of Thatcher Rock framed and ready to go.

Working on some more Black and White. This picture of the Amalfi coast with lovely cloud formations and buildings clinging to the rock face.

Black and White for a change.

The wheel has been much photographed.... trying out a new camera and couldn't resist.
