I thought it was about time I posted on my art page a few recent paintings of mine.
The last painting , titled “A little boat” is heading off to an exhibition tomorrow that will be then auctioned off to raise money for a local charity.
It is a mixture of professional artists and amateurs, paintings are anonymous, which could be interesting to see what the public think.
The others are works I’ve been working on for our home.
So I’m still painting and loving it…
Coming soon is the start of my new art group, but first I have to get my studio up and running so watch out Castle Douglas.
The Crazy Duck 🦆 art group, or CDAG is just around the corner..

I haven’t posted for a long time as been busy settling into our new home…
Now I’ve got my studio up and running I’ve started painting again and found myself using oil paints again, I’ve not used for years.
I’d forgot how much I’d loved them and started to wonder why I had switched to acrylics…
Painting not finished yet, trying to give an hour or two a day and slowly getting there….

Finally getting my new studio sorted, only taken 4 months 🤭😊
Soon I’ll be painting again 👨🏻‍🎨

You gesso a large 100 x 100 cm canvas and then spend an afternoon looking at wondering what you are going to paint......
I think it’s time for tea and cake 🧁😮🤣😂

My painting block seems to be over, I don’t normally paint flowers but have really enjoyed doing these 3 panels....
Just need to be sealed and ready for our shop once we are allowed to re open....

A little sample of anamorphosis 3D art.....
A distorted projection requiring the e viewer to occupy specific point to reconstitute the image. Ready for a presentation I’m doing on the subject on Wednesday.

Another finished piece for my upcoming exhibition.
A whale bubble net.
For those who don't know, this extraordinarily phenomenon created when the humpback whale comes up to feed on salmon, krill or herring.
It's a combination of the small fish trying to disorient the whale.
While the whale starts to blow bubbles, continuing to circle and tighten the net. More whales come and join the feed and yet more bubbles are created.
